I sure hope Tre can play better this week. We will need him. But I truly think he ha snever been a great CB like a lot of people think here. He had one great season when our schedule was relatively light. He has done nothing since. I know he is average. I know we expect a lot from him. But man, he has been picked on for years. I hope we go CB in first 2 rounds and get a vet in here that can ball.

Yeah really need him. I want to believe that INT he got helped him a little bit. He has seemed a little better since and he has made a few plays since

The Cincy TD was not on Tre, it was 100% the perfect offensive play call for the alignment the Bills were in. The Bills were in zone and White had outside leverage with Hamlin inside deep and Neal, Edmunds, Milano underneath. Hamlin had to drop down to cover the slot receiver who ran a deep cross behind Neal and Edmunds. As soon as Hamlin committed, White had zero chance to cover the deep in route. I don't know if Hamlin made the right decision, the slot guy would've been wide open at the goal line if Hamlin kept his depth but it might've been a more difficult throw in between Edmunds and Milano. Perhaps Poyer should've rotated over sooner...

Joe Buck: "White got caught flat footed". But perhaps most of the viewers saw it your way. wink.

Either way.. it's a team game. Go Bills!

Before he got hurt last year… His three year run Was absolutely elite

His passer rating when targeted phenomenal… Pass break ups. phenomenal…. Yards allowed per route … phenomenal

He’s coming back from a torn ACL at the most athletic position in the NFL… He’s not 100%

There’s never been an average corner who’s been named all pro… let alone he’s shut down amazing receivers

Agree with you 100%. Tre also has made many game saving plays over the years that have been overlooked. He is smart and makes great in-play decisions. His break up of the pass to Waddle Sunday was huge. The things he does add up over the course of a game. Physically he probably isn’t fully back yet, but should improve each week.

I can't believe it's been this long since a Bills vs. Bengals playoff game.

The good old days. Were you alive when this game was played? Do you remember it?

I remember that game well. I was 14. They did the Icky Shuffle all over the Bills in Riverfront Stadium. It was the Bills first AFC Championship Game. It was the first time that the Bills disappointed me. It would not be the last.

Yes...it was a surprise trip to the AFCCG that year. We had played them earlier in the year(just like this year...or were supposed to) and lost 35-21 in week 13...got crushed on the ground in that game...232 carries on 52 attempts and turned the ball over 4 times. Bengals ran 79 plays and had 455 yards of offense.  Bills were 11-1 going into that one.

In the AFCCG it was mostly a defensive game...Bills only had 181 yards and Cincy only had 249.  They still were able to run the effectively enough to control the game, again having 50 carries but this time for only 175 yards.  Esiason was mostly ineffective only going 11 of 20 for 94 yards with 1 TD and 2 INTs along with 3 sacks and a QB Rating of 44.6. Kelly was even worse tho, going 14 of 30 for 163 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs, 3 sacks and a QB Rating of 35.1.

Might have been the worst combined QB play in any championship game in the modern era, and if it wasn't it can't be far off. Total passing output for both teams was 25 of 50 for 257 yards, 2 TDs, 6 INTs and 6 sacks.  Pathetic.  Kinda glad the game doesn't look like that anymore.

Wow!! I was 11 years old soon to be 12 back then. I had just became a Bills fan the year before in 87 and was a young, fresh die hard Bills fan in the making. Started becoming a real part of my young life in 87 and this sure does bring back memories.

Are you betting on that? Another 3 dollars 😂

Elam held up pretty well against Hill and Waddle. I'm not suggesting we play man all game. I just see offenses having the most success against our D when they play zone without ever getting their eyes on the receiver running through their zone.

Didn't want to bring it up but I won my Miami plus 9.5 points bet. Thank you everyone

I'm very much leaning to taking the Bengals +4.5 points. Too many points. I see this as a FG game.

Just heard a stat re Bengals Football Outsiders defensive DVOA - At home 2nd in NFL, on the road 27th. That’s interesting

Well there are people who take stuff like this much more serious than I do I'm sure, but even so that's a really big difference there. I assume most teams would be a little better at home than away probably.

But that's a pretty big gap for what it's worth

To me what this game comes down to is what defensive lineman want to step up and consistently win one on one matchups against replacement level offensive linemen. They are down three starters. The drop off to those guys looks significant in a few cases especially. I do not want have to get so reliant on Milano and Edmunds blitzing to get pressure and let Chase and Higgins have their shots 1 on 1 downfield.

There is a lot of money and draft capital invested in this DL even without Von. I see teams with much less impact games more consistently than this current group. Time to have their best game of the season.

I agree. At this point don't we kind of know what we have upfront? A bunch of middling linemen who are inconsistent and unreliable. It's pretty scary if we are relaying on AJ, Shaq, Rousseau, Oliver, Boogie, and Jones. There was a reason why the Bills spent a boatload of money signing Von. For the record, where is the guy? He's basically disappeared as far as I can see. I thought he was the leader and role model for the younger guys on D.

Not picking on you or singling you out here, but ever notice when this dude’s name is brought up it always seems to be this way? Maybe I’m not listening to the right things, but rarely do I hear people say “Bengals DC” or “Anarumo” like you normally would. It’s typically “Defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo”. No big deal or anything, just odd.

I hope he is overrated and gets outcoached by Dorsey.

These late season moves are head scratchers.  What could possible be achieved by replacing 3rd string players who know the playbook and have practiced with the team all season for some 3rd stringers who have not?

I’ll take a stab. Talent?

I gave that post an eye roll because that’s just revisionist history. White was avoided for three years of his career. Look at the percentage of throws that were  thrown his way versus Levi Wallace. I’m sure that the player we see today is not the player that we saw in 2021, but saying he was picked on is just plain wrong.

Bye, Tanner.

I am assuming they mean DT/DE Broughton?  I find it hard to believe they are trying to convert a DT into a WR.

Patmon runs a 4.48 and was on the Colts...2 catches for 24 yards including a TD against the Cards. Big body...6'4" and 225 lbs. Post up jump balls in the end zone?
