This excellent editorial posted by Bandito must not be buried by the usual Tibs back and forth nonsense.

Please read.

This Op-Ed is a must read for everyone. Not just those in NY and pro-choice. Great reasoning as to why Dems are going to vote for Zeldin.

Did you read the Op-Ed I posted? That will give you a good idea. Plus Democrats are pro crime and it is out of control in the state and NYC.

I know. I see it on the news every day. Just the crimes that take place in subway alone is horrible.

I am surprised the race is this close given NY is hard core blue.

History repeating itself, a Cuomo (in spirit at least) ousted by an upstart Republican who sells the "tired of this *****" thing pretty well during an economic downturn and rising crime:

Oh don't get me wrong Hochul will win but it'll be closer than it has any business being with NY's current D/R splits. +7 probably turns into +4 or +5 on election night.

New Crime Focus By Hochul In New York City Is Pointless Gesture.

https://victorygirlsblog.com/new-crime-focus-by-hochul-in-new-york-city-is-pointless-gesture/

The governor's team is educating the public on the merits of "hitting the ground hard" as soon as gunfire breaks out rather than hesitating by observing the surroundings or taking pictures with their phones.  Anyone familiar with combat zones knows that assuming a low, close to the ground profile provides a more difficult target.  This ground breaking effort to empower the citizens of the city should cut the fatality rate and improve safety.  And don't worry about helping the police identify suspects.  Our DA will not prosecute them anyway.

If you live in NY and you care about the state, please get out and vote for Lee Zeldin.  If that idiot Hochul is re-elected, we will see crime and taxes like never before.  Babies will be aborted on their due date.  Please get out and vote.

And kiss the Bills goodbye?

What a mess.

Idiots

It's immaterial now.  The Bills got the money for the stadium.  So vote Zeldin.

What's the fuss about funding?  Just run a Ukrainian flag up the pole at the Stadium and the Biden folks will send the Bills and Erie county $10 billion for a new facility.

If the stadium would just identify as Ukraine, we could build 10 new Bills stadiums!

Totally agree.  If the stadium were to identify as transgender, black, illegal, or multi-time convicted felon, it would be built for free.  What a mess.

Well - socialism is only acceptable to the cult when it’s called a tax cut or PPP loan.

And I don’t care how much of our tax dollars go to fund the Bills existence in WNY - that money will just go to some other expense elsewhere.

Do you not feel PPP was something that was needed?

Who knows. Everyone knows not to trust the media. Every other day it's a red wave or a blue wave or this D is leading this R or vice versa. I ignore the news and just wait for the results from Nov 8th.

Here's the Moment When Zeldin Won the NY Gov's Race Against Hochul

5da15bac-5afb-42b9-b935-0b965694a6ad-450

Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) was a man on a mission during his debate on Tuesday against Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul.

The big focus of their race has been crime, the top issue in New York. Zeldin has focused on it like a laser beam, and he’s closed the gap that he originally had with Hochul.

{snip}

But just like the Fetterman vs. Oz debate was over almost from the first response, Hochul did herself in with one response in particular. Zeldin said that Hochul wasn’t supportive of locking people up. Hochul then claimed, “Anyone who commits a crime under our laws…has consequences.” That’s demonstrably untrue, as everyone in New York knows. Example: the subway shover.

“I don’t know why that’s so important to you,” Hochul said.

There it is, that’s the moment that Lee Zeldin just became Governor of New York right there. Hochul is just a clueless bureaucrat, in addition to a horrible debater. If Hochul can’t even understand why locking up criminals is important to the people of New York, what is she even doing in office? This is a huge problem and everyone in New York gets it, except Hochul. Play this on a loop over and over again until November 8

If NY flips red then expect a red tsunami around the rest of the country. I for one hope it happens given the last 2 years.

I have my doubts as I believe NYS would vote for a corpse if it had a D next to its name. I like the sentiment of your post though.

The “I don’t know why this is so important to you” line needs to run in a loop over and over and over.

Interestingly, the local “ state radio” news take on the debate is that it “ wasn’t a barn burner and is unlikely to change anyones mind” about the election. That’s the news media’s go-to take when the Democrat lost.

Fired-up Lee Zeldin brings the fight to Gov. Hochul, decisively wins only NY governor debate

by Michael Goodwin

If Gov. Hochul was going to give him only one debate, Rep. Lee Zeldin wasn’t going to waste a second making nice. The Republican challenger brought the fight and focus that he has displayed on the campaign trail and scored a decisive victory Tuesday night. This wasn’t a knockout, but a victory on points because he made specific and realistic promises to improve life in New York. Hochul, meanwhile, mostly played defense.

History shows that mid-terms are not huge turnouts.  And again, what are young people getting excited over?  Abortion?  Not likely.

You had student loan forgiveness. But that seems to have hit a roadblock. Legally I don't think he can do it. I think it has to pass in congress. But all he was trying to do was buy votes.

I am a well-educated man (he/him).  For the life of me, I can't figure out how cashless bail is intended to win any votes.   How does it help these guys who support it, at the polls?  I don't get it.   What a mess.

Yeah, many people who were psyched to hear they might get money back are finding that won't be the case.  Which sometimes can have the opposite effect.
