LMAO, so you're giving up Elam, Shakir (5th round, but you get the point), and Moss for an injury prone back that will still be running behind the statistically worst run blocking line in the league?

Yes everyday of the week with the team we have

We have a legit shot at the Superbowl, you take that shot

The bills don't run the ball much and use their short passing game as their run game

Is CMC not an elite pass catching back?

Still not worth a 1st round pick in any metric. If Carolina does move him, I can guarantee you it ain't for a 1st round pick.  I don't think there's any team in the league right now that's so desperate for a RB, they would be willing to part with a 1st rounder.

You are severely undervaluing what a first-round pick actually is.

Trading Singletarry for CMC doesn't make a lot of sense, why would Carolina trade for RB who'd be FA in a year, and why would we trade the RB that works in our offense the best currently.

I believe Dorsey and Co wanted a more dynamic RB in his offense and thought Cook was that guy. Cook’s not ready yet. CMC is that guy

With the ability to take it to the house

who has a history of injuries and does not warrant 1st round pick compensation.

Was an elite passing back.  We don't know what he is anymore because he's barely on the field.   Singletary is pretty darn good as a receiving back when we utilize him that way, look at the Miami game.

CMC would make this offense the most multi-dimensional, most explosive team since the Greatest Show on Turf.

You're basing this assumption off of the one great season McCaffrey has had.  We're only multi-dimensional when he's on the field which isn't very much as of late.  Don't get me wrong, I wouldnt mind trying him out in our offense if we could trade moss and a 4th rd pick at most but I can't imagine a world where Carolina would go for that.   Also McC is gonna want a payday based on his one great season and there's no way the bills are resigning him.

Losing a first hurts but it's a future and if it means an even better shot at a super bowl I would take it and not think twice

The bills have probably the best team in football, if I can add someone with the talent of CMC without giving up any contributors to the current team(moss is very replaceable) and only futures. I'm in

Giving up a 1st round pick for an injury prone back isn't happening and I'm sure Beane agrees considering he's all about "value".  Not to mention, we can't afford him.  We are already a projected $7.5M over the cap next year and that's before even signing any of our own big FA's.

Which is why I wouldn't trade singletary in any deal for cmc

I'm willing to push everything all in for a shot at the super bowl

We will see if beane is too

So cap issues are coming, this might be the bills best shot at a championship, just gives me more reason to take a chance now

Wait, you're willing to put us in cap hell for the CHANCE to win now?  CMC would guarantee nothing and there would still be the possibility we don't win the SB and then are still in cap hell all for nothing AND minus a first round pick.

Yeah, umm...No.

Yeah, umm...No.

According to your post you said the bills are already projected 7.5 million over the cap

So aren't cap troubles coming either way?

One way increases the super bowl odds this season the other doesn't do a thing

Plus the cap isn't real, look at what the saints and Steelers did for years while rothlesberger and brees played

LMAO, we're projected to be $7.5M over before even signing any of our own FA's and your solution is to add a dude owed almost $12M in base salary next year?  You apparently don't want to re-sign any of our FA's.  That or you're just real bad at math. So who are you cutting to get us under the cap and pay CMC?

Do you actually know cmc's contract details?

1 mil this year, the rest going forward non guaranteed. Easy restructure or cut and move on with zero harm to anyone else going forward

I don't know what Carolina would have to gain from taking Motor, but in the hypothetical situation where we get cmc we can't have both him and Singletary next season.

Moss can operate as a starting back with Cook sprinkled in if cmc goes down.
