Head coach hiring is such a crapshoot. Only if you do it wrong ! A lot of times HC fail because what they do on the field does not actually match their philosophy (Due to so many circumstances). That compromise means their strengths are negated...A Dick Jauron would have been a great coach if he had a strong OC and a starting QB....He had neither and it reflected in his failures. \ I believe one of thr reasons McDermott has been successful is because he is doing what he preaches. On top of that the Giants have the 5th and 7th picks in the draft. That type of draft capital is pretty rare and can set up a franchise for the next 5-8 years.
