Levi locking down CB2?

No, solid player. I'm pretty danged sure Sean McDermott, a defensive minded coach with a defensive backfield pedigree knows a wee bit more than message board guy.

How many different teams/players can u say that about? Most I would assume.

So?  His job is to handle the other sides responsibilities.  He's not depth,  he's a starter.  What does the possibility of Tre getting hurt have to do with him?

Jeez! The Levi crush is strong around here. I get it, fan favorite UDFA feel good story. The guy didn't get any offers as a UFA and ended up staying here for under 2 mil. because this so called solid player couldn't do any better elsewhere. If you think he's not the weakest link on this unit you got blinders on. Yeah I know every team has a "weak link" no matter how serviceable they may appear. They could've upgraded in FA and chose not to so they're either happy with what they have or thought the money is better spent elsewhere like adding another WR to an already stellar group. 🤔 Yes I know cap implications make things difficult. It is what it is. They made it to the AFCCG with him last season and hopefully the pass rush can make him better than the already solid player he is.

The problem with Levi Wallace, is not his coverage ability in Shawn's defense.  It is lack of being physical to play against the difference between Levi and Mr.  Trye White is White is a more all-around corner with his ability to play physical and tackling in open space.  Too many times you see opposing QB's throw an inside slant or a short dump off to a running back to Levi side and he is not making the tackle, or he is getting pushed off the ball too many times by bigger wide receivers.

Solid depth. He can hold his own with Tre locking down the other side.  If Tre gets injured you have a tandem of Wallace and Jackson out there. 😵😵 Are you comfy with that?

Please. any team losing their #1 CB would be in the same predicament, all pros don’t grow on trees…., nor can a team afford to have them at every position, take a deep breath and relax. 😁👍

This is what I say to your post the bills had every opportunity to draft a corner Hi in this last draft they didn’t they didn’t because they have Levi Wallace I am personally a Dane Jackson fan but the fact of the matter is on any NFL team if the starting corner gets injured and you have to go down the depth chart play is going to suffer it would be the same anywhere and bringing in a old veteran free agent corner would not change that the bills feel they are good with what they’ve gotJackson fan but the fact of the matter is on any NFL team if the starting corner gets injured and you have to go down the depth chart play is going to suffer it would be the same anywhere and bringing in a old veteran free agent corner would not change that the bills feel they are good with what they’ve got

The stats actually don’t support that more often than not Levi is making the tackle

The fact is Trey is better and that situation would not change if they brought in somebody else

This is not at all shocking to me. Bills fans have been trying to replace him from Day One. The Bills themselves have made him earn the #2 CB spot each and every training camp and preseason. And year in and year out, he goes out and does it. Is he a Superstar in this league? No. But he's a solid player, a solid #2, and I think it's time a lot of fans put some respect on his name.

Yeah, I have Levi crush because I said he's a starter.

You try to pin the "weakest link" moniker on Levi IN THE SAME POST that you also identify the actual weakest link on the defense:  the pass rush.

No. Levi is the weakest link. This defense I'm sure you know is a zone "keep it in front of you" scheme. It is supposedly designed to get QB pressure exclusively with the D front. The Bills are not an attack style D, they're opportunists. They led the league in fewest 40 yard and 20 yard pass plays from opposing offenses. And yes I realize Levi was a part of that. I like Levi and I'm not saying he shouldn't be on the team. I'm saying we could've upgraded and done better than a solid guy who had no interest as a UFA and re-signed for practically league minimum. Please don't try to tell me he had offers but took less to stay with Buffalo😄

Levi Wallace cannot die. Seems that no matter who we bring in, he beats them out. He’s an underrated corner and not a liability in any way.

Because we keep scraping the bottom of the barrel and don't bring in real competition other than late round draft picks, UDFA and washed up veterans.

I'm not trying to be overtly negative with Wallace but for all the love this guy is getting just wait until we play the Chiefs again and the cries to replace him will be deafening.

There is a reason we signed him dirt cheap and other teams weren't lining up for his services....

I can buy that Levi will win the starting position, but I think Dane Jackson will still get quite a few reps.  I think both are likely to improve.  They both came out of college lacking strength.  Jackson had just adequate speed and Wallace was downright slow.  Players can get stronger, and if they hadn't trained for speed in college, I think they can improve their speed too.  That seems to apply to Levi Wallace.  I don't think either one will ever be much more than adequate, but as others have mentioned, with the D-line getting more pressure, they will start to look quite a bit better.

He’s a slot WR and on his big play, wasn’t even Levi’s side.

Yeah, it looks like we blitzed 7, including a safety and the nickel cb and they hit a quick out screen with blockers setup to spring Crowder... Levi's off screen on the opposite side of the field.

Nothing like beating up a bunch of Appalachian State CBs to make you and others think you're Alabama caliber. 😂
