The most corrupt POTUS in our lifetime.  And he's your main squeeze.

You might want to find better role models.  Given this guys resume as a defender of big and powerful corporations I am beginning to question your allegiance to the causes dear to the left.

"In the last 20 years, Boutrous has carved out a practice focusing on limiting punitive damages for corporations and defending 1st Amendment rights for media companies. He has represented Ford Motor Co., DaimlerChrysler, the Wall Street Journal and Time Inc. as well as big media coalitions of which the Los Angeles Times has been a member."

Trump's $100 million threat to democracy

The defeated and disgraced ex-President's huge war chest, nearly all amassed within six months of leaving office, was built on his ravenous calls for cash from supporters bought into his delusional lie that the 2020 election was stolen.

It is the latest sign, along with trips to win his favor by GOP candidates and his party's incessant efforts to wipe the history of his crimes against the Constitution, that Trump's threat to basic political freedoms is far from over.

It takes little imagination to know what Trump will do with his funds, which are likely to grow significantly in the months ahead. Barely a day goes by without him spinning more outrageous lies about election fraud.

The House Republican Party has become a vassal for his extremism, including with its absurd, whitewashing claim that Speaker Nancy Pelosi, rather than Trump, was responsible for the worst attack on the US Capitol in 200 years.

Trump is already the prohibitive favorite for the 2024 GOP nomination, after convincing a huge minority that he was unfairly ejected. Republican-run states have hurriedly rewritten election laws in a way that penalizes Democrats and would make it easier to overturn the result next time if Trump were the candidate and he was again rejected by a majority of voters.

Great read.  Powerful.  Lots of splashy words.   Now do the Biden/Pelosi Dems, the illegitimate election of Donald Trump, and the 4 year Russia investigation.

Yawn

Don’t you guys ever get tired of this? You fixate more on Donald Trump than Donald Trump does about himself. It’s pretty sick.

When Trump was elected, the opposition party suddenly developed a major case of Russianitis.  It was as if all of a sudden, the Russians were everywhere, though ultimately they basically ended up being nowhere.

We also had discussions of Trump being an illegitimate president, talk that his presidency was the result of a coup, and a call to arms by dem leaders to get in people’s faces to spread the truth as Dems see it.

We also had serious, legitimate democrat  candidates for the presidency speak passionately about concerns of election security just a few short months before the election.

Why suddenly are you so concerned?

The Trump 2024 Democrat Destruction Machine Readies for Battle.

“All of this is more than likely causing quite a bit of flop sweat at the Democratic National Committee though. On his quietest days, Trump gives them headaches. More than six months after they set up Biden in the Oval Office, they still act like Trump’s there goading them. They can’t quit him and their continued torture is a never-ending delight to watch.”

Because for reasons never understood, Trump is one of the few Republicans or Conservatives willing to stand up to the leftist ideologists and give it right back to them.  As 99.9% of Conservatives and Republicans just roll over and play dead when it comes to providing any resistance to their agenda the left is not used to this push back.  Trump's presence has caused the left to act like a spoiled child that suddenly doesn't get their way any longer from mom and dad.

Look at how they're still obsessed with Trump.  Tweeting all kinds of nonsense like Nazi references and the old stand by racist narrative, jumping up and down, pissing and moaning like he's still running the show.  He's in their heads and they can't get hm out.  Upon waking each morning they're thinking about Trump.  In the last moments of life before death they are probably thinking about Trump.  When they get to the after-life they are fearful Trump, and not St. Peter, will greet them.

Finally, on the Russia topic, I've recently noticed the local supermarket is now carrying several different brands of Russian salad dressing in the condiment isle.  This appears to be suspicious.  I am concerned this may be an advanced guard covert operation to make sure popular Russian foods are stocked locally before their invasion begins.  Contacting Rep. Schiff's House intelligence committee, the local FBI office, DHS, and the intelligence community may be warranted.

All kidding aside, it amazes me how people fool themselves into thinking they are on the side of righteousness when drawing a line in the sand on these issues.  To be fair--we all do it on one level or another, but these jamokes have super-sized the hypocrisy game.

One side says "Trump lies"....while voting for Joe Biden, a guy with 50 documented years of lying about just about everything.

One side says "Trump cast doubt on the election process!" while competely ignoring the statements made by Warren and Klobuchar about exactly the same thing.

One side says "January 6th insurrection" while we all sat and watched the wide-scale, not-in-dispute sacking and pillaging of American cities and institutions all last summer.

One side expresses indignation on Trump's call to Ukraine and alleged shakedown, while voting for Joe Biden ON CAMERA bragging about inserting himself into the Ukrainian political system and demanding a rando prosecutor (who just happens to be investigating his crack head son) be terminated.

One side expresses faux indignation about Trump's crude, but factually honest, assessment of what some women will allow a wealthy, powerful celebrity to do, call it "sexual assault" but cast their for for Biden as they whistle past  his accuser of an actual violent, sexual assault at a time when the Senate was the epitome of the Old Boys Frat Club.

One side expressed faux indignation about Trump and racism, yet gleefully pull the lever for Joe Biden, a man with his fingerprints (and rhetoric) all over legislation that helped to destroy inner city communities and specifically targeted black Americans.

One side expressed disdain for the "fake news" moniker Trump elevated to almost mythical status in popular culture, all while raging on about Fox News long before Trump prevailed against Clinton.

As for Trump, whatever your feelings are about the man, he has an otherworldly ability to tell his enemies to "Suck a nut" and simply cannot be broken under the traditional methods used to destroy political enemies.   He just doesn't care, and he certainly exposed a tremendous amount of hypocrisy on the part of the political system and major media cabals in the country.  The issue has been discussed many times in the past, but Trump took the fight to them on a nuclear level.

There was a lot not to like.  Full disclosure, I thought he was pretty entertaining on The Apprentice but never would have considered a vote for him when he first announced.  Truth---a life long conservative, when it looked like Jeb Bush (blah), DJT (blah), Hillary Clinton (most definitely no), I pondered a vote for Biden should he have run.

It was an amazing time in American history, the 2016 election.

Yup.  in 2016 I disliked HRC.  She was and is a dishonest grifter.  Stuffing her pockets full of cash along with her husband.  Such as taking political pay offs with that phony charitable trust.  And leaving a curious trail of detractors and witnesses as "suicide" victims in their wake.  For good reason she is one of the few people disliked more than Trump.  The Dem's would have won the White House in 2016 but the establishment got their candidate.

But I hold no love for Trump either regardless of how the ideologues try to pin that label on me as if guilt by accused association somehow invalidates my positions.  He's a crude and obnoxious person.  I saw him as a fake populist and a primary reason he lost in 2020 was the failure to deliver on any of the populist message he ran on in 2016.  Draining the swamp, bringing back jobs, MAGA, all those slogans and rallies that were words that lead to no actions.  But he wasn't wrong on every issue as the left is convinced.  Or right on every issue as the right is convinced.  I didn't vote for either Clinton or Trump in 2016.

All Trump did for me was raise my Federal income taxes because of the SALT cap on his "tax reform" bill.  I vote for either Trump or Biden in 2020.

Meanwhile..................................

Why Trump Still Terrifies the Democrats

by David Catron

One of the residual effects of last year’s chaotic election is the palpable fear of former President Trump that still haunts the Democrats. Their congressional antics, from the absurd post-election impeachment to the parodic House investigation into the Jan. 6 “insurrection,” confirm that they are still very much afraid of the man

(snip)

This has nothing to do with any threat Trump or his supporters pose to the republic, as media alarmists insist. The actual source of Democratic trepidation can be found in their lackluster performance in the 2020 presidential and congressional elections combined with Trump’s clear intention to become very much involved in boosting Republicans in next year’s midterms.
