So the Championship is 2 weeks and a good week would be say 400 points.  I was down 155 to like 5 after 3 days.  So many bad pitching performances in such a short period of time.  His team didn't even win so much as mine just flat out lost.

So your saying that I'm comparing apples to oranges.

More like comparing Crown Royal with that bottom shelf stuff at the back of the store

and they could do all of those things already.

If anything all of the internal IT departments and League Security have been running around like madmen to make sure all the mouthbreathers in the front office don't have "football" as their password.

I'm sure their IT Departments have been working overtime on this.  And I doubt anything will happen.  It's just the IT Guy in me sees so many things that could possibly go wrong with this endeavour.

Millions of people manage to draft fantasy football teams online every year. This isn't really that complex.

You're talking about NFL GMs here.

I gotta say, ive worked in media and television production for the past 35 years and am amused by everyone who thinks televising this draft is as easy as some skype call

This is the bit I am most interested in. The teams making their picks less so but how does the TV bit work?

I think you've still got a panel of commentators for the bulk of it discussing fit, accomplishments, and best remaining. Goodell announces the picks. Probably an extended highlight reel to replace the walk, hat, and hug. Some of the players might set up with a camera at home, I suppose, though we're more likely to get cut aways to GMs this time around.

Will be interesting for sure. How does the producer make sure the various commentators scheduled to come in from their kitchens and home offices are cued up and stuff? Could be a shambles.

Honestly why cant we use team facilities? So instead of going to a bigger building with more space for distancing and better internet to prevent issues with the draft.. we forcing teams to draft from home with mutiple people in smaller rooms and more chance of internet issues. Why arent teams allowed to put like 10 people in a team meating room? And use all the screens, laptops and internet there. Make much more sense. As long as their is restrictions setbin place by NFL i dont see why using team facilities is bad. In fact ita probably beneficial. Or even use team facilities and put everyone in a different room.

I think the commentator part will be a lot like a Skype call, but with some official graphic overlays. There will definitely be less control though. ESPN and NFLN are teaming up for a cohesive broadcast, potentially to ensure adequate talent is available. They're also raising funds for covid relief, so they'll probably plug that a bunch.

They aren't putting multiple people in one room. It is one person, one room. The GM won't be having the whole scouting staff camping in his spare bedroom. They will all be dialled in from their own homes.

fantasy baseball is fun, haven't played in a few years, but yeah, the lack of a deep rotation can kill you.  And Yelich in the 8th was a steal.

Yeah - they were his hitter and pitcher keepers.  I get cole in the 2nd and Bellinger in the 6th this year if and when we have baseball season :(.  and i pick #1 overall so i'll have a team with Trout, Bellinger, Cole

In 2018 I was in a league with an autodrafter that ended up getting Patrick Mahomes in a later round and didn't bother putting him in the lineup until mid season.  Dude made it the to the championship round that year

I’m reading multiple tweets that say the issues with the virtual draft are overblown. Seems there were some early hiccups, but they worked through them. They will figure it out.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if this stuff is driven by GMs grumbling that the draft wasn't postponed finding anything they can to be inconvenient and complaining loudly about it
