The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

China closed all of its movie theaters but then continued to claim the virus couldn't be passed from humans to humans. A large part of the reason South Korea (IMO) got a jump on things is because they have a very healthy degree of skepticism regarding China's veracity. They would have known much earlier that China was flat out lying.

Wonder what kind of information about the crisis could've been had using humint in China?  Would've been helpful.

All you're doing now is proving that your brain is addled with a toxic mixture of unchecked TDS and identity politics. Citing Wikipedia as any kind of source -- especially on this topic -- is not an argument a serious person makes.

Just like a serious person doesn't argue that there is any realistic comparison to the US and South Korean.

Just like a serious person doesn't argue that there is any realistic analysis you can draw by comparing Medieval Europe and Asia to the 21st century global economy.

... But, as you just proved all morning, you are not a serious person. You're a broken person.

By all means, feel free to contest any of the above examples.  They are all common knowledge.  It's not like we're writing a scholarly journal entry on this forum.  Unless you think none of those things actually happened just because I used the wrong link.

So far, all you've been able to do is name call and label.  I wonder if that will change.

I'll prove how poor your analysis is and how weak a position you've staked out for yourself, @Capco

Prove to me that Trump's decision to close off flights from China to combat the virus was driven by his racism. Show me the evidence -- not that he's racist, but that the decision he made was. And do it without using or regurgitating any CCP propaganda... Can you?

No. You can't.

All you have is your supposition that it was done because he's racist. Which, you have every right to believe -- and we have every right to point out how dumb a position it is to hold.

Your brain is broken, Capco. You don't need to prove that anymore. You can rest easy knowing that everyone believes in it.

Correct.  And I have loads of prior behavior to point to that supports my position.

And all you have is your supposition that it was done because he's a very capable president, making decisions where his noted xenophobia never plays a factor (lol)... with practically nothing to support that point of view.

At least I can make my case without labeling someone else with a broken brain.

You haven't made ANY case. All you've done is expose your own mental shortcomings for the world to see.

Per the bolded, that's nothing I ever said in this discussion. But, because you know you have no real argument to make other than one about your FEELZ, you have to invent what I said in order to argue against it.

That's the move a broken man with an honesty problem does.

Identity politics is more dangerous than 'Rona. One day you'll figure that out.

Here's a wiki article with over 320(!) citations making the case for Trump being a racist.  Just from the summary (lol) we have:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racial_views_of_Donald_Trump

The evidence is nothing short of overwhelming.  And you've provided zero evidence to the contrary.  Yet somehow I'm the one who is proven to not be operating with a fully functional brain.

You have a special, rare kind of logic.  I'll bet you think it's a gift, too.

Links are to articles of people expressing their opinion that Trump is a racist or interpreting his words /actions as racist? What a joke. Seriously

" And you've provided zero evidence to the contrary." - Such a good little liberal. Label someone a racist unless they can prove they are not

I'm allowed to think he's a racist without discrediting everything else I say.

What you said was he banned travel BECAUSE he is a racist.

You can't just change the conversation because you puked up stupidity an hour ago.

Seriously. Do yourself a favor. TH3 is here with his weekly contribution of NPC puke. Give him the reigns for a bit and take a nap.

Pardon?  I'm not changing anything.  I said I think he had "petty and/or racist" motives for the travel ban.  I did not say the travel ban was exclusively racist at any point in time.  And I stand by my statement.

None of those examples screams "hmmm we might have some racist undertones here" to you?  Not a single one?

It takes some unique talent to get your head that far in the sand.

-Sued by DoJ for housing discrimination, 1973/78

-leading proponent of bitherism conspiracy

-vilification of the wrongly accused Central Park 5

-speech about Mexicans being criminals and rapists

-repeatedly linked African Americans and Hispanics with violent crime

-implied a moral equivalence between the white supremacist marchers and those who protested against them at Charlottesville

-referred to El Salvador, Haiti, and African countries as "sh|tholes"

- Trump tweeted about Democratic congresswomen: "Why don't they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done."  This Go back to your country mentality is a common racial trope.

Several studies and surveys have stated that racist attitudes and racial resentment have fueled Trump's political ascendance, and have become more significant than economic factors in determining the party allegiance of U.S. voters.

I look forward to reading more at your link and commenting further but most of the "examples" in your post aren't racist acts or comments whatsoever.

And a large chunk of those examples just aren’t true and have long ago been disproven. Like the “he implied a moral equivalence” in Charlottesville — something that was disproven years ago but he still cites as fact.

Broken brain.

What ones fall outside your definition of "most"? Be careful - you might be honest and call #OrangeManBad a racist.

At least this is an honest answer I can work with.  Thank you.

I genuinely don't understand how you can see that pattern of behavior and not have some alarm bells going off.  And it's not like this is a novel, radical concept.  Many people have seen this same pattern of behavior and independently came to this conclusion.

His behavior has at times been downright appalling when considering the level of decorum expected of the POTUS, both nationally and internationally.

and how dare you call him out on it

But it's cool to have 100+ page threads bashing CNN/Clintons/Obamas/Pelosi/etc. These things are tolerated and celebrated
