Take 4 away from the DL and the other 5 have to play the full game with one substitution? Let McDermott do what he is going to do. The depth will play a lot more snaps and some starting vets won't play but a few snaps. There are NOT enough guys to do this. My god.....it has NEVER happened. I would activate 5 to 6 people on offense and 5 to 6 on defense mainly the ones I listed above. It is pure lunacy to put a couple of your main starters on the field for a couple of series. That is pure coach speak bs that somehow this one week of prep is going to give them that extra training they need for he playoffs. There is zero evidence to support that this is somehow going to make everything better in the playoff game. And if they are calling a vanilla gameplan anyways and don’t do well is that going to decrease their confidence for next week? You don’t risk playing your top talent, it’s just stupid. DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted December 26, 2019 Share Posted December 26, 2019 the obvious choice is obvious. these are not seasoned vets. they are a young inexperienced team that needs all the experience and momentum they can get going into the postseason. that said, the risk of injury is there in this game as it is in any game that they play. no HC should be the blame of injury from a game these young men are paid to play. Maybe they are playing for a 1 or 2 seed which means a bye and home playoffs games but I would love an example when there is no meaning to the outcome that they left Brady to play a whole game. Offense 5 22/20/32 82 16 18-slot 77 they split neither is a starter 71 61 65 70 they split neither is a starter 89 85 2 TE sets defense 92 96 94 90 or 93 whichever you consider 51 52 57- in 4-3 29 33 28 31 46 in nickel move 33 inside I don’t want them to literally bench every starter. I want the 10-15 guys that we absolutely need in the playoffs to sit in a meaningless game. And there are things you can do to add a guy from the ps here and there to actually do this if it was necessary. I just wanted to put it out there that on a technicality with the RT situation it could be done. Even though I really was talking about all the main players. The only actual starting spot of the 22 where you would run into a numbers issue would be that other tackle. It wasn’t really a big deal I just couldn’t not answer or try to do it when you asked.
