Let’s not pile on the Jets.   We have virtually no idea what the Bills will be this season.

We could be the next train wreck come spring of 2020.

Whatever Jets guy.

I enjoy the fact that the Jests fans call their coach "Gaze"

@RossTuckerNFL

Adam Gase got the GM fired, alienated the team's best offensive player, became the only coach with a GM title, brought the circus back to town, and traded a starting LB for peanuts all within 10 hours. That's a heck of a day.

Holy Crap - they traded Darron Lee too. For a 6th round pick!  Ha!!

honestly, he’s not awesome but just the mere fact that he got the GM role a few hours ago and trades a starting LB for a 6th is amazing!

This is hilarious. You literally can not make this s up.  No doubt many NFL prognosticators will double down on their Jets ball washing, but to see this franchise as anything more than a joke at this point is to have a world class suspension of disbelief,

i'm surprised more coaches haven't been gms.  belichick is the only guy now that does it i believe.  i think chip kelly was.  been some other random ones but it never lasted that i remember.

Being an NFL head coach is an 18 hour a day job.  Very few people can handle that grind for more than a few years.  Even fewer can handle that and the responsibilities of being the GM.  GMs do a lot more than draft and cap issues.  Ultimately, I think this is good news for the Bills because I think Gase is going to have difficulty doing both jobs well with the end result being a weaker Jets team on the field.

Another thing to watch closely is how Bell reacts to getting dissed by Gase.  Bell just got paid, he rolled the dice and lost, he actually would have gotten more money had he taken the Steeler's original offer.  He burned his bridges there and wanted out.  Now he is going to a new team where it's all over the media that the head coach didn't really want him.  Wait until he has a bad game and the New York media starts to lampoon him in the papers and the always forgiving Jet's fans on social media start calling him a bust.

I don't think it will be too long before he starts thinking, "I've got my money now, maybe I should think about life after football and not destroy my body for a team and fans that treat me bad."  Should be very interesting...

Bell will soon come to realize he is no longer running behind the Steelers line with the threat of a serious passing game.

Typical Jets. Chaos in the front office, scary defensive line, no offensive line and Bell...good luck!

Twitter has very often served to prove the old adage: ‘better to be silent and thought a fool, than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt’.

*

As for Gase, have any of you seen Gase and Darth Sidious in the same room at the same time?  Coincidence?  I think not!  He’s being manipulated by the dark side of the Force.

Dear Adam,

Don't listen to the naysayers. I think you will do great...and I know GREAT! I got a raw deal, too, but it was New York City's and the greater New Jersey area's loss. If you ever need any advice or another assistant, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I'm available for mentoring, as well. GO JETS!

Sincerely,

Rich Kotite

My exact thought. Are they even aware they have been in last place for 3 straight years? Even the year before that when they were decent they got knocked out of the playoffs by Rex freaking Ryan. Sad!

Jets fans are typically not self-aware.  Again they wish they were the Bills and had just made the playoffs 2 seasons ago.

He does have a point.  We don't yet know what we got, and the Jets could go from "tire fire" to 9-7 or 8-8 just as we did when Marrone vacated.

The talent that Maccagnan brought in will still be there this season.

Suffering from an injection of reality doesn't make him a Jets fan.

Me, I still gotta point and giggle, though. 😋 😂😋🤣

I think we may be an underperforming team if Allen and Edmunds don't take the expected steps, but  I don't think we'll be "the next train wreck" or clown show.

After the Whaley/Rex debacle which made the Pegulas look seriously bad, I believe their #1 job criterion for new coach/GM was to hire professionals.

What I mean by "professional" here, is a guy who wants to stay in the industry, and who will keep his lip buttoned to the media,  stomp on leaks, shut the office door, and thrash things out in private then keep 'em that way.

Whether or not they're "all that and a bag of chips" as coach/GM is still TBD, but I think the Pegulas succeeded with the above.

A head coach also being GM is never a good idea.  Neither is having a coordinator thrust upon you.  This should end well.

I love it.  The Bills built around JA with great OL, and good WR/RB signings this offseason.  The Jets added big ticket free agents like Mosley(after Barr walked right out the door), Bell (who Gase doesnt even want), and Q Williams (blesses himself after he sneezes). I like Q, but the jets and giants are duking it out for dumbest org in football rn.
