1) Sammy got hurt so those stats are very misleading

2). The last 2 teams that had Sammy had the best offenses in the nfl.  People laugh at the decoy thing but good offense have multiple threats.

3) no single GM would take Foster over Dammy, even with the money.

4) if Sammy was in the Bills last year and was forced to get the ball, he would have had a monster season.

I do freely admit the injuries completely killed what Sammy could be.  But comparing a guy like Sammy to Foster? Come on. Sammy was an all time great college receiver.  Foster did nothing in college and we cut him.  He is only in the Bills because no one signed him and our wrs sucked so bad.  It would be awesome if he turned into a real legit nfl receiver but it would be really hard to bet on that.  He is a 3 or 4 on a non bad offense.

The injuries have nothing to do with the stats though.  Those are his stats during healthy games.  And if you project his healthy production over 16 games he is at 50 catches and 700 yards.  So the injuries are not why his stats are so low.  Thats his real production when he is on the field.

And sorry, a guy making $16m per season is not the 4th option on a team.  And I disagree, if a GM has to choose between Foster at $500K next year or Sammy at $16M, I bet you many of the teams would take Foster.  The price tag matters, and Sammy is not producing for all his talent and money.    I do agree that Sammy has more talent than Foster right now, but talent isnt enough, you gotta be able to put it to use on the field too.

And as far as the decoy goes...that excuse has no merit anymore after seeing what happened after he left Los Angeles.  Not only that, when you average just over 3 rec and 44 yards a game over 2 years, how much of a decoy are you really?

2017 Rams:  Sammy in 15 games put up 39 rec and 593 yards.  The decoy excuse was rampant, even I defended Sammy with it.

2018 Rams:  Sammy leaves, Brandin Cooks replaces takes his exact role:  Cooks in 16 games:  80 rec, 1204 yards

So Cooks replaces Sammy with all other players being the same around him, and doubles his production to have the best season of his career.  So Cooks excelled in the same offense and led the team in receptions and yards, while Sammy was an after thought and finished 4th on the same team.

Sorry...but decoy excuse is no longer valid for Sammy.

Look, we Deserved the playoffs after 17 years.  But if you’re being honest, it was one of the worst playoff teams of all time.  .

If I’m being honest this is just a really silly statement.

A. As if anyone could ever know this...

B. In all the years of playoffs and 9-7 OR WORSE teams making it and getting handled the bills went on the road and played the eventual conference runner-ups to a one score game.

So if We’re being honest it’s just you saying that. Let’s not lump the masses into a rough comment like that.

I get your point that they were competitive in the playoff game, but you could make the "worst" playoff team argument based on point differential.

I heard Bucky Brooks say something about a March 2nd roster bonus and then wanting to move him before then (confused me as a trade can't even be final until like middle of march, so how does that affect the bonus?) anybody know anything about that?

His roster bonus is due on the 5th day of the league year, which is 3/17.

I'm pretty sure Antonio understands that his next team will likely be his last for his peak years.

We're talking about 3-4 prime years of ALL TIME greatness!

Every NFL team would be stupid not to explore this.

Green Bay has two 1st round picks. I could see that trade happening for one of them. Steelers would be all over it, and Packers should be as well.

That would be a great move for the Packers. I doubt it happens because the young GM and the young coach would be scared of the personality, but if they're serious about getting the best out of Rodgers twilight, this is the way to do it.

I would take Brown in a trade ONLY and ONLY if I do not have to redo his deal. However I read he wants a new deal with a trade

I’m not sure how serious he is about a new deal. I think he’s using that demand as a way to dictate where he goes.  If it’s somewhere he wants to play, then maybe it isn’t such a big deal this year.  If it’s a bad team with no QB, then maybe he digs in on it and makes sure he gets PAID.

...there ain't enough Depends, bourbon or popcorn in WNY for me to withstand waiting for McDermott to explain how an AB signing "fits the process".....can a HC be defrocked??..

Shouldn't be too hard to explain.  I'd imagine winning is a part of "the process".

Brown coming to Buffalo  would be stupid for him. he should go to the Packers. Rodgers can handle him and make better use.
Bills still only have one TE signed. lets fix that first

and an O line  that , well , needs some work.

long term sustainable winning. that means smart staggered contracts. Brown should go to a very solid SB contender.

just my humble opinion. ( and i think his screws are  too loose )
