This seems to be a good time to remind everyone that gun violence kills far more people in this country than does abortion.

Only because your personal beliefs don't consider abortions as killing "people".

My personal beliefs have nothing to do with this.  We’re a nation of laws.   And the law says that a fetus has to be born alive to become a person.  Fortunately for all of us the law is not a matter of convenience.

Put all too simply, but there is no reason to argue with a fool like you.

Not too many "fetuses" are born alive after you cut their head off.

Planned Parenthood did something remarkable this week. You might call it appalling—not necessarily for the substance of the message—but for the context in which it was made.

Yesterday, of course, was #blackouttuesday. Anyone with an active Instagram presence already knows as much. And while there was some confusion as to what the precise message was—even at the highest levels—the gist of it was fairly simple. Violence against black lives—specifically, police violence—will not be tolerated.

In light of the sweeping wave of blackout posts, I got to wondering about Planned Parenthood. Would the largest abortion business in America dare to join the angry and grieving masses by posting that simple black square? As it turns out, they did and they didn’t. Planned Parenthood doesn’t have a corporate Instagram account, but many of their affiliates do. The Instagram account for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund did not post a black square; the IG account for Planned Parenthood Minnesota did. More significantly, Planned Parenthood’s corporate Twitter account issued the following statement on Monday:

Quote

We're devastated, grieving, and outraged by violence against Black lives. We must continue to demand accountability, justice, and an end to the inequity that continues to define every moment of life for Black America from the racist institutions that uphold white supremacy.

Whether you agree with that statement or not—which asserts that U.S. police departments are “racist institutions that uphold white supremacy,” it’s who’s making the statement that makes it so damned duplicitous.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! Last year, police officers in the United States killed nine unarmed black persons—and 19 unarmed white persons. By comparison, Planned Parenthood killed approximately 131,000 unarmed black babies (in 2018) and 121,000 unarmed white babies. Think about those numbers for a moment.

Planned Parenthood doesn’t break out their abortion totals by race. They would never be so foolish. But the Centers for Disease Control does. According to Planned Parenthood’s most-recent annual report (2018-2019), they aborted the lives of 345,672 unborn human beings in fiscal 2018. In the CDC’s 2016 “Abortion Surveillance,” which is their most current, they report that 38% of U.S. abortions are performed on black mothers; 35% are performed on white. The race of the fathers is unknown. Based on those percentages, we can deduce that approximately 131,355 of Planned Parenthood’s 2018 abortions were performed on babies with a black mom. An unknown number of additional abortions were performed on babies with a black father.

To put things in perspective, Planned Parenthood kills 14,555 innocent black babies for every one innocent black adult killed by the police.

Not that you deserve a real response, but you were the one who keeps calling others "law and Order" posters.

I would never refer to the murdering of an infant as "inconvenient"

Me too.  But a fetus isn’t an infant.  And it’s also not a person.  So what about my point that gun violence kills more people than abortion?  The truth is inconvenient for you on that one, sir.

So, in Nazi Germany, the law was that Jews and various others like gypsies and homosexuals were subhuman and it was alright to imprison and ultimately exterminate them. Was that okay? If not, why not? The rationale of legal positivism is that what is right is defined simply by what the law says. If you disagree, what criteria founds the basis of disagreement?

Only you are debating the merits.  I’m simply pointing out ghat guns kill more people than does abortion.  It’s an inconvenient truth for the rule of law crowd.

In order to argue your point that gun violence kills more people than abortion, first, you must recognize those being aborted as a person.

By your own stated definitions, if gun violence killed 1 person that would be more people than abortions. By the same definition more people also die taking ill advised selfies.

If an 8 month happily pregnant woman was shot and her wanted fetus died but she survived would that count as gun violence killing someone?

If the fetus was born alive, the fetus would become a "person" and that would "count" as the death of "person" under the eyes of the law.  If not, then that instance of gun violence would not have killed a "person" as the term is established in the law.

Adult stem cells are where promising results have occured.

NOT fetal stem cells.

.

They are in ever higher demand in bioweapons research globally. Hundreds of such labs on six continents agree. Monitoring of these labs is done by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. They don't answer to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. They only answer to SOCOM.

Laws vary by state, as do definitions. Notably see Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas (and perhaps some others), which do seem to define "people"/"person" as "an unborn child".

I was just really seeing whether C3's desire to take guns from people trumped his defense of abortion anywhere, anytime or vice versa.

Since by his definitions cell phone selfie accidents also kill more people, he may want to grab those as well.

I don't agree but I acknowledge the argument for post birth abortion of people that take selfies.

Sure can PICK ‘EM! Planned Parenthood endorses Joe Biden and trips SPECTACULARLY over his voting record on abortion access

00001-1-7.jpg

Crazy, it's almost like they'll vote for a specific party and completely ignore a person's past or track record.

Next you're going to tell me that those calling for police reform are endorsing Biden (who mostly authored the 1994 crime bill)

Medical Staff’s Response to a Man’s Question On Which Black Lives Matter Is Chilling

Saying “black lives matter” is a massive virtue signal that allows you to easily rattle off a platitude and score points with strangers while having to do absolutely no critical thinking or, to be honest, not even actually caring about black lives.

However, one man was capable of blowing the lid off of this farce with a simple series of questions.

Approaching a group of medical staff at a hospital, a man asked if black lives matter. He received an enthusiastic “yes” from the crowd. He then continued, asking if the black lives taken by black lives matter. The “yes” was a bit tepid but he got one nonetheless.

But then the man broke out the real reason he began asking the questions and the response was predictable, but even its predictability didn’t stop the silence from being stunning

Think about this: Assuming you hang out with like minded people in your social circle, church, family...How many “quick marriages” and carried to term “unexpected” pregnancies to single women have you seen over the last 20 years in your circle?

Not many huh? Pretty sure the sex thing still going on ....and even with precautions... things happen.

Hmmmmph....shotgun weddings and teen pregnancies thing of the past.   Huh...What..you think your group is better at abstinence and birth control and that is why you never seen these?

You know who gets abortions? Everyone...liberals, conservatives, atheists, Christians, black, white....because they all get unwanted pregnancies...and for many of them...an abortion is the best option....I know a very nice conservative woman...as wholesome as they get who worked at PP for a long time....guess who gets abortions....people you know....you just don’t know about it.

Murder is murder regardless of political affiliation.  If a woman lost a child due to a still-born birth...people around her would mourn her loss...but if that same woman chose to abort that baby...suddenly it's a talking point about "freedom" and "choice".

Judicial Watch announced today it received 165 pages of records from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) showing the FDA between 2012 and 2018 entered into 8 contracts worth $96,370 with Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) to acquire “fresh and never frozen” tissue from 1st and 2nd trimester aborted fetuses for use in creating “humanized mice” for ongoing research.
