True story: my wife is a longtime educator. Every year they do harassment and bullying education with the pre adolescent kids. For the next two to three weeks the office is packed with kids reporting that they’re being harassed or bullied. Happens every year like clockwork. Then, like clockwork the issues virtually disappear. Rinse and repeat. Kids are NOT little adults!!! Their minds are VERY impressionable. The mere mention of something and they all suddenly have seen it, or are it, no matter what the topic is.

20-32 is a statistical impossibility. 3-8 is more likely.

Three (9.375%) at best.

True. However, putting aside whether or not 4th graders are ready or mature enough to grapple with these issues, what business does their friggin teacher have inserting him or herself into the situation?

This is an issue for their parents, pediatrician and/or psychologist.

You expect a spike  then without expected response they disappear, depending logical and expected. It does not mean problems do not exist. How to get to a respectful situation is not easy for sure. We all have been bullied, it is a multi level problem and also character builder. But today bullying can be dangerous, not just words and a punch in the nose.

No argument there. I live the stories at the dinner table quite regularly....probably more graphically than you'll ever know. However, assuming that little kids as are being discussed in Florida, have brains with anywhere near the development quality of adolescents, or adults is simply ridiculous! The topics of human sexuality should NOT be being discussed in early childhood classrooms, (no matter what inclination they may have or experience around them) and certainly not by your average elementary school teacher.

What makes you think a 4th grader doesn’t already know if he or she is gay? Or different? Or doesn’t know the exact terminology but something is off?

I’ll ask again - when did you decide you were straight?

The odds of the "story" being true is also 3-8%.

Again - y'all love taking the bait.

what bait?

A tweet without a source from “Libs of tick tock.”

Its got the right wing screaming about how stupid the left is, and the left bending over backward to defend an absurdity.

Tweet worked

Don’t be so naive.

With or wo that Tweet - the insecure cult thinks they can brush homosexuality off the map by sweeping it under the rug.

That only worked so long until “straight” men got caught pretending to be someone they are not in the most inconvenient places.

The cult needs to come to grips with reality.

Considering the number of Disney employees recently arrested for sex trafficking you'd think they'd be a little quieter on the whole child grooming front.
