In fact 8 of the top 10 GDP countries in the world have some sort of universal health care. It works for the rest of the world but somehow the US can't figure it out. Taxes go up!!! That is the republican talking point. Don't pay attention to the fact that you no longer have insurance premiums, co-pays, or prescription costs and in many cases people will save money. Don't pay attention to the fact that your health care is tied to your employer and losing your job means you don't have insurance any longer. A couple of weeks ago there was a post about if lefties read opposing view points.
