Clueless TV announcers

How clueless were the TV announcers for the Chargers' game?  At least as far as I can recall, they completely missed 2 huge halftime developments: Davis quitting and McDermott "benching" the DC.

I'm abroad so I watch the games on gamepass, but I usually opt for the audio from the Bills radio network when I'm watching since these guys are good and know the team well.  For this game, though, the radio audio was out of whack (3 or 4 minutes behind the action) so I had to listen to the CBS audio.  What a shame.

When your D allows a TD on every possession, the announcers don't believe your team has developments.

I'm just as glad they missed it personally.  It would only have provided them more fuel for mockery of us.

Hap...had to fix that. We, as Bills fans, had nothing to do with that clown show. We are simply victims of ´Śtockholm Syndrome´.

Are we going to talk about Beurlein referring to Jordan Potter as “Poy-ay?”

And Romaine Humber....

I'll be honest I have no idea what should have happened on the muffed punt. And listening to the TV announcers and rules analyst try and explain it I still have no idea.

Murphy did not have the ball long enough to establish change of possession.  Therefore when Taiwan recovered the ball in the end zone, touchback.

These guys are bored out of their mind, wishing they were commentating a fun game.

I was laughing so hard when they were musing how fun it would be to see Lamar Jackson play the ENTIRE SECOND HALF cause they had nothing to talk about. By that point every neutral observer just wanted to see Allen and Jackson duke it out in garbage time

Steve beuerlein was terrible. Anything bad that happened to the bills was Josh Allen's fault. Center doesn't snap ball but the 10 other players all move at the same time, stupid Josh Allen.

Dawkins blocks the wrong guy even though the rest of the line blocked the right people, stupid Josh Allen.

O lineman gets beat by a good move, stupid Josh Allen.

Receiver falls down and has corner on top of him, Josh allen looks elsewhere, stupid Josh Allen.

They would both take both sides of an argument then flip a few seconds later then switch back.

How many times did they brag that they watched the Bills practice on Friday?

Be careful eating that romaine...it might make you more ill than watching the Bills although that is not likely.

Sounds like they have careers ahead of them in DC.

And then cos Taiwan's helmet came off before he fumbled it again the play was whistled dead from that point?

It should have been, followed by an ejection for the deliberate helmet shot to Taiwan's dome.

So what did happen.... because Taiwan fumbled as well so if it wasn't whistled dead before he lost control of the ball, which it could have been because of the loss of helmet, then surely that was a live ball in the endzone?

I was kind of happy to hear Steve Beuerlein kind of taking up for the Bills a bit during the broadcast myself.

His funky pronunciations aside I didn't think Beuerlein was that bad. The lead announcer was awful.

The play should have been called dead once the helmet came off. It didnt sound like they blew it though but it could also be a situation where after the play they would call an 'intent to blow the whistle' and just call it dead at that point. Because Jones never got out of the endzone with it, it could only be ruled as a touchback for the Bill's, but if he had fumbled before losing his helmet then a LA recovery could be called a TD I believe.

they aren't kicking players out for that kind of play

i was afraid they were going to do that but they've used common sense for ejections so far
