It was really when he got to Buffalo at age 30, 31 and 32 that his legs visibly started to freeze up. He lost what mobility he had. Bills fans remember a Bledsoe who was not what he had been. You look at his first six years and he never had more than 36 sacks. After that he was rarely below 45. But yeah, he was never as athletic as Allen. So your argument is meaningless. And just because they drafted one QB doesnt set a president. Im sure inaccurate QBs is exactly what Whaley was looking for lol. Good lord. Terrible comparison...Bledsoe was a statue in the pocket and was out of the NFL before his time should have been up when he could no longer move enough to even avoid a rusher. Big stature, mobile and athletic, big arm, but lacking consistency in passing. Wentz seemed to get his short comings fixed, so I suspect Allen can do the same. True but they had a ton of designed roll outs as well and took advantage of his freakish ability to produce on the run. He's as naturally gifted as a QB I've seen, it's all about him putting in the work to take his game to the next level. I don't think this staff would have taken him if they had any doubt whatsoever that he's not going to work his butt off . I see Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf jokes but that couldn't be more inaccurate, they were lazy, privileged rookies in toxic locker rooms. this kid is going to be in a wonderful locker room imo and going to work his butt off. On the spectrum allen is about middle of the pack? even slow guys can take a few steps in the pocket. I don’t envision Allen’s ability to run changing defensive game plans considerably. He will avoid some sacks and create some time here and there which is great but vs a relatively non athletic guy pocket presence will bes bigger issue than 40 time.
