And it still doesn't explain the SDNY magistrate's signoff...

I tend to think they are better informed, in this case, especially given how chatty this White House staff is.  That place is leakier than a [insert dirty joke].

This staff is much less chatty than the last administration.  By all accounts I heard bush.2 had a quiet admin.  Clinton had a party.

The information they get, at least from accounts I've seen and politicians I know and know of, is generally the same as us minions.

You also have a full press on Trump and Co by the press to dig and dig. Relentlessly. This generation of news reporters are going to be pretty damn good by 2024.  Too bad they're retards.

The leaks don't come from Trump's staff.  Most are disinformation being propagated by elements of the IC as part of their palace coup attempt.

Yup.  Seems totally on the up and up. Raid the President's lawyer's home, office, and hotel because of "taxi medallions" and then demand information related to access hollywood and suppressing negative publicity during the election.

That doesn't sound like political motivation at all.  No sir.

Why? Because yet again I point out your failure to be correct?

Get over yourself, coach. You were wrong. Again.

Right.

And this post, typical of your body of work here, is evidence a strong moral fiber and decency.

I have kettle calling on line 2.

That is completely ridiculous.

Hard to say before we know what they were seeking those records for. Mere speculation here but if Cohen used money to suppress the tape that could count as an illegal campaign contribution. The article also doesn't say they carried out the raid specifically for documents relating to the tape, just that it was one of the things they sought in the raid. Sorry folks but it's gonna be a little while before we know the full story. And the warrant will be made public eventually.

Mostly I was commenting on the ridiculousness of the article.

It's complete speculation that Cohen tried to supress the tape, considering it wasn't at all supressed.

The Post revealed the existence of the recording on October 7, 2016. On that day, Trump first sought to downplay the comments as “locker-room banter,” but later that night he apologized for his remarks.

On the same day, the U.S. intelligence community released a statement formally blaming Russia for interfering in the 2016 election. Less than an hour after The Post’s story, WikiLeaks posted the first set of emails stolen from Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta. U.S. intelligence officials later blamed the Russian government for the hack of Podesta’s email.

Try again. There is no evidence that Rosenstein was involved. In fact he didn't even sign off on the recusal.

Quote

Berman was not involved in the decision to raid Cohen's office because of the recusal, two sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.

The recusal was approved by senior Justice Department officials who report to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the sources said. Rosenstein himself was notified of the recusal after the decision was made.

The raid of Cohen's office was handled by others in the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and approved by a federal judge.

You don't come down here much so it's possible that you aren't familiar with our unwritten rule against calling someone a lawyer. You should apologize to Joe.

On Monday the FBI, hostile to the President and rife with leaks, raids the home, office, and hotel room of President Trump's personal attorney, on the pretense of something to do with "taxi medallions", and demand information and documents related to Access Hollywood and information politically damaging to President Trump that his campaign may have tried to suppress.

On Friday this was leaked to the media.

There are no coincidences.

Also this is where the doorman story originated:

https://radaronline.com/exclusives/2018/04/donald-trump-love-child-rumor-scandal/

This website reviewed internal emails from the National Enquirer which is a sister company of theirs, so i don't see how the raid on Cohen has anything to do with this?

But this is how conspiracy theories work. Dumb gossip from a doorman gets leaked, and this is somehow connected to an FBI raid on a lawyer's residence. Why? Because it just must be.

Explosive?

To the general population which cares more about American Idol, Kim Kardashian's ass, and Trump's two scoops of ice cream?  Yes.  Explosive.

That's why it was leaked.  To continue to scandalize this President, and weaponize public sentiment against him as he begins to cleanse the Federal government and indictments start to roll out.

Gotta turn up heat on Trump so they can use it as leverage to make this all go away.  Hope, if anything happens Trump can fall on the grenade and we hail President Pence.

!@#$ you, Dems.  Next time do better.
