Fact: TT has led us to Jacksonville tomorrow

This thread is not about tomorrow, not about draft day next April, it is about what the title says.

If anyone thinks we would be in Jacksonville if our #2 QB Nathan Peterman would have led us

there, feel free to comment, but I am expecting 0 replies to this.

The first line should have been this thread is not about next year-sorry about that.

Tyrod led the team to the point where they could benefit from someone like Andy Dalton actually making a heroic clutch throw.

That officially put the Bills in the playoffs.

But yes, you are correct -- Tyrod did lead them to the point where they needed lots of help to get in.

Now, one could reasonably expect that if the Bills had a QB who was actually capable of running even the 25th ranked passing offense in the NFL, they would have won at least 1 or 2 more games and put themselves in the Wild Card.

But hey, the Bills are in and it's going to be a great day tomorrow no matter what. They either beat the Jags and it's on to New England or it's the last time we have to see 5 under center for the Bills.

Win-win!

Despite an abysmal year by TT, this team is in the playoffs. If you want to attribute it to TT because you think he's better than a CFL QB, that's your right. By St Patty's Day, the team will have decided what the educated fan (the one who watches a QB who can't throw a WR/TE open; who makes horrible decisions [running OB on 4th and 2th from the 4th instead of throwing it]; who can't make progressions; who 3 OC have limited his ability to audible and on and on) knows, this isn't a starting NFL QB. I just watched Mariota make a TD throw to Decker that TT has never made. See ya TT, nice knowing you.

The key measure of a QB when facing a team with a great run D in the playoffs, on the road, is can you take over and win the game? Tomorrow I suspect we'll see TT do TT things. Suck.

I'm trying to think of how many QB's could've thrown for 2,799 and 14 TD's this season and their are too many to post. If anything this team made up for poor QB play with opportunistic defensive turnovers, strong running game and good ST.

What’s crazier? Thinking Tyrod led us to the playoffs or that a Tyrod thread would get 0 replies?

Umm. Is this a trick question?

Who got cheated?

Taylor?   Not starting actually was to his benefit.  He isn’t charged with the loss.

In truth with that 3 game suck fest Bills fans were cheated.

Funny.

I felt it was more like Andy Dalton that led us to Jacksonville.

But for his miracle heroics, we are cleaning out our lockers and setting up winter vacation plans.

Why are you pitting the two against each other? Peterman made two critical throws in the snow that TT wouldn't have even considered.

And, ponder this: Had the Dolphins cashed in on the final drive and won last week, the four points TT left on the field missing a wide open O'Leary would have been the difference.

I don't see how some of you morons think he is a good quarterback. He misses way too many plays. And, I know, I know, he doesn't turn it over. I wouldn't turn it over, either, if I only threw it if a guys was open by 20 yards.

Love is blind....

Yup, TT led us here all all by himself!  Extra caliente take!

We all know he didn't. And yet....

How often have I read here that QBs are solely responsible for the success or failures of their teams. So which is it? Are you saying those people have been pulling my leg all this time?

You are right, defense wins championships. So I guess we should ignore our 29th ranked run

defense that gave up 22 rushing TDs and about 125 yards a game on the ground.

I think TT can throw for more yards in this game than the run defense gives up, so we should

have a chance.

People will ignore this. People will ignore Tyrod converting 3rd Downs and the offensive coordinator going super conservative in every 2nd half. Limited yes, but he isn’t as bad as some would lead you to believe

Fact:TT led us to Jacksonville.  Agreed.

Could someone else have, maybe, maybe not.  But, TT did lead us here.

Sure, I will play the game and agree.

not sure TT is much of an on-field leader , or off field for that matter.   He's pretty much a cog in the wheel more than anything else, especially this year where rico has kept him in the pocket.   NFL is so much a team sport where all kinds of areas (game plan, health of key players, running game sets up the pass, etc.)  need to do well to win.   TT calls the plays that come into his helmet, then most of the time the other 10 guys better execute or they will fail.   He's probably not the guy who will save the day.   For example, if Jax gets out to a 14 - 0 lead today, the game is essentially over.  TT's a good player, but he can't bring a team back.. he simply doesn't have the skill set, moxie and creativity to do it.

Have you all noticed recently that for the set of scripted plays to start the game, Tyrod and the offense look so good? It’s the play calls after that that are usually the problem. Hopefully they can score a TD on the first drive

Actually no.  For most of the season they sucked on the scripted plays.  I think week 15 was their first opening drive TD?

...oddly, I think it was Mularkey's 2004 team that set the club record for opening drive scores..............

Might I add, When is the last time the AFC looked this weak?

A flukey season that ended in a really gratifying “ back door” entry.

I want them to win tomorrow but don’t expect them to because without Shady at full strength TT will have to be a QB.

Let’s see how that goes and then we can revisit this homage to “ Tyrod the Magnificent “

And 17-37 for 134 0 TD 1 Int 27 yards rushing.

Woo Freaking Hoo
