The inability of Tyrod to read and beat the opposing defenses led to this decision. An important point is the lack of complimentary football we’ve been playing. We are not good enough to win without it. I agree with the decision and believe it gives us the best chance to win. Some plays, like when taylor ran right up the middle against the saints, were probably broken plays but for the most part they just focused on containing him in the pocket and then letting him try to find a receiver. There have been teams saying this in post game interviews that they are trying to "force Taylor to be a QB". Well, any number it is............................. you can look right here and see why there is a playoff drought. Let's hope Peterman is the last starting QB for the next 10+ years. In Buffalo he deferred the pass game design to the QB & WR coaches. Now in Baltimore his is the run game coordinator. The man has never designed his own pass offense because he isn't good at it. I'd argue Lynn took it farther, but that's because he simplified the preparation prior to the game and was willing to run the same play twice if it worked.
