IgotBILLStopay
Steelers have arguably the strongest receiving corps in the NFL. They definitely have to cut at least one of Justin Hunter, Sammie Coates or Darrius Heyward-Bey. Do we have any interest in any one of them? http://www.nfl.com/player/sammiecoates/2552470/profile http://www.nfl.com/player/darriusheyward-bey/80427/profile We already know about Justin Hunter. Some familiarity with Tyrod.
Samwell Tarly
Bills need a fast, deep threat. Do any if their guys fit the profile?
LeGOATski
Sammie Coates. But we'll call him "Sammy."
MAJBobby
I would not mind Coates if cut (drop issues though) More interested in Kearse from Seattle
Marty McFly
I would not mind Coates if cut (drop issues though) More interested in Kearse from Seattle Kearse would be a great bargin. Heyward got the speed too and we know Hunter is a good red zone threat.

BuffaloBillsGospel
My guess is that they will pick up a WR if they deem necessary with cuts that are coming since I highly doubt we give up any of our draft picks for another WR.

Wondering if they'll put him through waivers or just outright cut him. If the latter I would think he'd be a fit for McBeane.

I definitley think they pick up another WR, they already found a need for adding one that they went out and brought in Boldin, now with him retiring I think they make a move for someone. I don't think they worry about having to use a pick in order to get the right one, because i believe the plan all along is to accumulate picks to make the moves that will help rebuild this team. I don't think they are all being stockpiled to make a move for a QB, and with the amount they have, they could spare one and get someone that may be a bit younger, or better then someone elses cut. I doubt they use a pick to get an older vet on a short term deal though.

I could be wrong, but it is my understanding that when a player is cut who has 4 years or more of experience, that waivers is not an option, they go straight to free agency. Coates is ok, probably better than what we have after WR #3 or #

The reason why draft picks are so valuable is that you get that player for 4 years for less money with the option of a 5th year, so dumping a pick on a guy like Phillip Dorsett because he is fast seems like a bad idea imo, he has 2 years left on his contract and can't even make the starting roster with Andrew Luck at QB, that should tell you something about the player, Same goes for most of these guys. Waivers vs cut is a misnomer. If a player has less than 3 years he is "Waived" and subject to waiver conditions, If a player has 4 or more years there is no such thing as a waiver , because he becomes a free agent immediately. It's not a team decision . You cut the player and based on years it is then determined if he has a waiver restriction or is immediately a free agent. At least that's my understanding of the rules. Kmart128
Coates would be a good fit for this team. Adds speed to the position which we need and allows the young talent to see the field more.

My understanding as well. All has to do with tenure. You "cut" them, and they either hit waivers or don't depending on it. Some more info per PFT on the difference, and vested veteran rules as well: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/08/30/vested-veterans-wholl-be-cut-will-get-to-pick-their-next-team/
JohnBonhamRocks
Definitely on board for bringing Hunter back if cut. He and Taylor obviously have a red zone connection, and I don't see Lewis making the team as our big target guy. Plus, even if we don't cut Holmes now, he's gone by Week 10.
