And I got hammered on here a few weeks ago for suggesting anything out of him was found money...... He was a terrible pick when Roby Anderson and Geronimo Allison ended up as UDFA!

There's so much that goes into making a wr. Allison played with Aaron Rodgers (and had some really creepy tweets). Anderson just got arrested.

Sucks he never got a chance to prove himself because of injuries.

My guess is the neck tattoos scared teams off

Kolby was a message board legend this off season no more or less than all the hype that surrounds the 5th backup wide outs folks are so sure are legit #3's

The reality is we lost our #2, #3, and #4 WR's over the past 2 years, while our #1 played injured

Drafting Zay is a start and signing some 'healthy' depth backups while rejigging the position isn't a bad idea

However we are still missing a legit NFL starting WR in comparison to most of our opponents who have 3-4 plus a Zay

@salsports

Kolby Listenbee is subject to waivers. Any team can claim him. If no one does, he automatically goes on Bills Reserve/Non-Football Inj List

...from there, the Bills could decide to release him with an injury settlement or let him start camp (and possibly season) on Reserve/NFI.

There'd be no reason to put him on PS since he won't count against roster limit while on NFI. Would have to be cut again/re-signed for PS

Then it's an obvious move to cut him. Seems unlikely another team will claim him. And then the Bills get a speedster in their back pocket that may recover down the road. Zero-risk move.

Who's our fastest WR, now, btw?

Football is a business. Sad to see Kolby go.

Yeah- loved the speed and uncontested catch ability. Decent size. Hope things come together for him someday.

Was an example of Whaley taking risks on damaged goods for a great athlete that might pan out with a late pick. Probably not necessarily worth a bunch of hand ringing. I cannot imagine there is a huge difference in expectation or results between udfa and 6th rders

This is what I thought. A good move all around. My question is, was there a way to put him straight on the reserve/NFI list without subjecting him to waivers? Not that I'm concerned he'll receive a claim, just curious.

With regard to actual football speed it's Sammy.
