He was a terrible pick when Roby Anderson and Geronimo Allison ended up as UDFA! There's so much that goes into making a wr. Allison played with Aaron Rodgers (and had some really creepy tweets). Whaley never understood that. Why would he stockpile when he was good at picking up free agent talent? You hit on a guy and he could be huge for a long time. If no one does, he automatically goes on Bills Reserve/Non-Football Inj List ...from there, the Bills could decide to release him with an injury settlement or let him start camp (and possibly season) on Reserve/NFI. Hope things come together for him someday. Was an example of Whaley taking risks on damaged goods for a great athlete that might pan out with a late pick. Probably not necessarily worth a bunch of hand ringing. My question is, was there a way to put him straight on the reserve/NFI list without subjecting him to waivers? Not that I'm concerned he'll receive a claim, just curious.
