Bottom line--the Pegulas are continuing to run this team like a second rate organization. Whether or not you like DW, McD or anyone else who is here or who comes here, it doesn't bode well for anyone--especially not for us, the fans who have been suffering for far too long. BuffaloBillsGospel Posted April 30, 2017 Share Posted April 30, 2017 I'm not a Doug Whaley fan at all but if we fire him that says to me we just let our rookie HC, fire our GM and hire his own GM, that is way to much power for a guy who is coaching for the first time ever and another huge reason the Pegula's should hire a Coughlin-like guy. I like Whaley, but I'm not married to him. I want to WIN. But I don't want to be punished for stupid actions! (Not personal against you.) I'm just not concerned about it because I don't think there was any wrongdoing. Because it wasn't necessary. Who was a kid 17 years ago, and the new owner just showed up to keep the team from moving. Way to keep the glass half missing. They are doing all they can, it won't be easy, or perfect. What does Carolina do, whine that we stole the players they wanted to draft? There's no tampering in trading past Carolina to take a player they had on their board. What's McDermott supposed to do, take a vow of silence during the draft because he was with another team while they were scouting players? Honestly I hated the idea that Whaley would get fired after the draft and it reeked of dysfunction. But knowing that McDermott was apparently just going off of Carolina's scouting I kind of love the move now. I like the high character picks, I think leadership is where it all starts. I don't think McDermott will always be trade happy, he just wanted to make sure he got his players in a draft he had to throw together kind of last minute. That is why he continued on following through with this draft. His reputation remains at stake for other jobs. The scouting staff has been telling anyone that would listen that they were leaving. There's a big disconnect of philosophy between DW and the new coach. Whaley would have drafted anyone other then a white pocket passing QB. Thank you very much for the info. I am I won't lie I am and I'm also exhausted and sad that this is the big topic after a great draft. I was a fan before and ill be a fan after. I just realize I'm not a fan of some of the fans or owners. I'm done with this topic. As long I get to watch a playoff game on the big screen and enjoy some wins with my family on Sunday ticket this year that's all that really matters.
