He is the Bills' all-time leading scorer and the top field-goal kicker in team history. We appreciated his offer to assist Dan and that was communicated to him. And Rex seemed to like have old-timers around. So my guess is that Danny Crossman was worried that Christie's coaching would not line up with his own. Not just any player but the all-time leader in points should be on the shortlist. It's about honoring the past by maintaining healthy relationships with those who contributed to the franchise.
