The Trump Economy

Socialism sucks. But it's what every current democracy is in some form.

Without question, we don't have 100% rampant capitalism, our basic ideals of a democracy are not matched in the freest countries.

The only axiom that seems to hold is that the power of a real ballot is required to keep a market economy rolling.

If you have the option of 3 different kinds of fresh oranges at 10 stores within a mile of you this morning, and you live over 1,000 miles from where oranges are grown, it's working okay this morning.

My Uber driver yesterday was a laid off sales guy who said all his previous bosses were total idiots.

He was a baby boomer.

Who plans to retire to Southeast Asia (where he has never been) with his 500K in savings and live like a king.

Just a curious anecdote.

Sales people typically don't get laid off. They get fired because they suck. Yeah it's his bosses fault. And I have a feeling this guy sucks judging by the fact he's retiring to a place he's never been because he's not saved enough.

All the salesmen in my life value repping a product with a good reputation in the market as a first priority, at least when they are being honest.

Any good (and honest as you said) salesperson knows a good product presented to the right prospect is "easy" to sell.

But it is a system that can be effective in smaller countries with less diversity. Socialism doesn't work in a more diverse country with disparate points of view.

So what you're saying is that socialism works in small countries with a homogeneous population built up over millennia of culture, inbreeding and shared values? That's not socialism. It's a societal construct that can't scale beyond the tribe.

And replace it with a more expensive TrumpScare? Got preexisting health issues? Pray to God you get well soon.

Obamacare is not be the best that there is, but TrumpScare is scaring a lot of blue state residents.

Well, finally the pious chime in. Good to hear you're a church-going religious type and can speak for all of that community.

You don't even know what the replacement for Obamanationcare is going to be.

The Dems stole money from the American citizenry and sucked it out of the economy and have taken a wrecking ball to the Healthcare and Healthcare Insurance industries. Those are two different animals in case you don't know. Having healthcare "insurance" doesn't and never did equate with having access to healthcare.

One of the key tenets of every Republican plan I've seen is the coverage for "pre-existing conditions". So do yourself a favor and exhale, unless you like the sight of your face turning blue.

As Robert Ringer explained in "Winning Through Intimidation" it's all about preparation. If you do your job right the product sells itself.

No, most successful people refuse to face up to the grossly unfair advantages they were handed in life...

Great parents are a blessing! That's why food stamps, free lunches and welfare are necessary, so that many more kids get the advantage of good health and security from want.

I hope Sanders splits the Dems next election, pulling 30% of the party in the blink of an eye. I'll donate to this effort.

He already split the party in 2016. One of the reasons (none of which involve Hillary of course) why we now have a President Trump.

Not really. A higher % of Sanders voters showed up to vote for Hillary than Hillary supporters showed up to vote for Obama in '08. Hillary ran a weak campaign and Trump ran a strong campaign in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

Won't happen , Andrew Cuomo will run in 2020 imo

I don't see how the two are necessarily exclusive. Sanders trying to split the party and lead an independent, socialist movement wouldn't have much effect on who ran for the Democrat nomination, except to draw the far lefties away.
