dude could build a settlement out of coconut trees and keep a radio running for years with no batteries

but he couldn't figure out how to patch a hole in a boat or astro-navigate a way home

To be fair, he did patch the hole in the boat.  But Gilligan ***** it up.

And he did recharge the batteries.  They had a whole episode dedicated to it.

Yes, Tariffs are good for US manufacturing.  It's a miracle.

Some things are better and some are worse, but the fact is the economy is now almost 10 years into its expansion.  In the end, his four years won't be much different than average, though Here's a piece suggesting Trump currently doesn't fare well compared to some of his predecessors. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2019-01-28/trump-economy-lags-clinton-s-obama-s-reagan-s-and-even-carter-s

It's impossible to imagine how bad things would be if Obama didn't spend 8 years tee'ing this up for the next president.

Barack Hussein Obama. Mmmmm. Mmmmm. Mmmmm.

Yeah, I actually heard someone this afternoon refer to this as the "Obama Recovery."

The best part of this is that unemployment rose to 4.0% meaning that people are rejoining the workforce.

The comments...

How many are part-time?
How many were government workers looking for a second job?

But unemployment was up!

My questions for those people ... how come everything was swell under Obama as more people left the workforce, worked two low-paying jobs, and people got shoved onto welfare in record numbers? Why can't people just enjoy the ride and look to better themselves in a growing economy? Apparently, some people are (the unemployment numbers are more people deciding to look for a job as there are more jobs than people available at the moment), but the eeyores really are something else.
