POTUS Vows Action Against Russia's Hacking

Recommended Posts

Good to see POTUS taking a stand against the hacking brouhaha that has emerged in the last two weeks (Well, actually several months earlier than that, but POTUS decided not to mention it at the time. I think he was saving his umbrage 'til he saw who won the election.). Now that the election is over, POTUS can unleash his full powers of response.

There are rumors that he'll draw a red line in the snow (after all it's Moscow, not Baghdad) and dare Russia to do something about it. In preparation for drawing the red line, he has alerted the Department of Agriculture to be prepared for a new round of total bull ****.

If the DNC was held to the same level of responsibility as many of our corporations, once they were hacked, and privileged info was released, there would have been an investigation into their security practices. They would likely be leveled with a huge fine.

But I'm sure the President will be defending those corporations as well since they were also victims.

He sure will; that's what a President for all the people just naturally does. And we all know he's....Oh, wait a minute, that doesn't include the folks living in the middle does it...?

So just so I'm clear: back in 2012, calling Russia our "number one geopolitical foe" was something Obama called an inaccurate throwback to Cold War geopolitics after he "successfully reset" relations after the unnecessary friction of the Bush administration, but four years later Obama is saber-rattling against Russia based on questionable intelligence whilst criticizing Trump's desire to "reset" relations with Russia...and liberals are afraid Trump is going to start a nuclear war?

Really...what the !@#$? Is gatorman suddenly running things?

Ya, reacting to an attack, who would think we should respond!

Hacked the government email system? Were there classified documents on them? So Hillary's email was safer on Google? I thought she was suppose to be safe on the government one? Lol

Her email was safer on her personal server? Please explain how you know this.

Anyway care to address the point I was making?

I don't see how there's anything we can do, there's too many socio-economic ties at risk. It's basically just lip service. Same thing when it comes to anything China does that we don't like. Obama, Trump, it really doesn't matter who is in charge, there's not much that can be done without some serious consequences.

Which is why it's so dangerous and short sighted to be whipping the country up into a frenzy and calling it an act of war when the evidence is circumstantial at best. We know the neocon wing of CIA wants regime change in Moscow and aren't afraid to fight a war to get it -- but how bout the rest of the left? (yes, the neocons are now leading the left down this red-baiting path -- something that should alarm most thinking liberals).

Proof that neocons are willing to go to war with Russia?

You know, the incident you've been running from for months. The one where we deliberately killed Syrian troops in an effort to shred the cease fire, help ISIS, and pick a fight with Russia. This was followed up by HRC and her neocon advisers pushing for No Fly Zones in Syria -- which could only be accomplished by destroying Russian SAM sites manned by Russian troops.

All that on top of their stated desire, on multiple occasions by multiple neocon leaders, that regime change in Moscow is their ultimate goal.

Oh, wait. That's right. They don't want war. They just want to wish for a better life for people in Russia.

Reminder:

The casual reader of newspaper headlines might well believe that the Russian government hacked into voting machines, or something of the sort, to influence the presidential election. But that is not the case.

If you read the Washington Post story (and NYTIMES) , they are merely talking about the well-known hacks of Democratic National Committee and John Podesta emails.

By that standard, Turkey is also itching to start a shooting war with Russia, since they actually hit a real Russian jet. love your ongoing leap of logic that US isn't trying to limit more carnage in Syria but is provoking a war with Russia. How's this, if Russia troops don't enter Syria in the first place, there's no fear of their troops getting caught in the cross fire.

Who are the neocon leaders calling for regime change, btw?

One more...........................

he says he met Putin personally and told him to “ cut it out !” and nothing else happened after that

Does ANYONE believe that ??

“and upset that the media was obsessed with writing stories”

Well, the stories about the DNC emails were just all about the corruption of the Democrat nominee.

I’d say that was pretty relevant to the election.

What a joke he is......................

WHATABOUTISMS! It's all GG's got. Run away from the issue and change the topic, it's all you got. Your spinelessness on this issue and your blind jingoism has become a joke.

A three hour, sustained bombing campaign in an area JSOC knew like the back of their hand which targeted a known Syrian/Russian FOB, followed immediately by an ISIS advance that retook territory they had lost a week before is deliberate and intentional. It wasn't an accident. It was designed to shred the cease fire, kill Syrians and Russians and to help a known US enemy retake territory.

If you don't think that's proof that the neocon wing are willing to risk war with Russia to push their backwards, outdated, and completely rejected agenda then you need to wake up.

Russian troops didn't "enter" Syria. They were invited. Unlike the foreign jihadists we funded, armed and trained (directly or through proxies) and sent streaming across the Syrian borders for years.

You're so incapable of being objective in this you should just stop.

(And it's hilariously neocon of you to say the US was trying to limit the carnage by violating a cease fire AND dropping bombs )
