Was listening to the 550 morning show and they mentionned that since 2003 there have been over 1200 games where a QB has thrown for over 300 yards.

How many of the 1200+ games to the Bills own?

13

Since 2003 a Bill QB has thrown 13 300 yard games. Or on average 1 per year. OUCH.

The Bills are so far behind the eight ball in this regard it isn't even funny. Yet, there are always posters who insist we need to be a run first, ground and pound offense. TT is getting paid the big bucks now, if he is not capable of throwing the ball 30+ times a game, then it was a mistake to sign him.

Are we guessing more or less than half of those were Bledsoe?

Going through PFR... year/starting qb/total... may have missed things because I'm just clicking on games with total pass yards that are 290 or higher to see if they did 300, but team total was brought down by sack yards

2003 - Bledsoe - 1

2004 - Bledsoe - 0

2005 - Holcomb/Losman - 1 (Holcomb 305, but net was brought below by sacks)

2006 - Losman - 2

2007 - Losman/Edwards - 0 (one game we had over 300 as a team due to a Lynch throw)

2008 - Edwards/Losman - 0

2009 - Fitzpatrick/Edwards - 0

2010 - Fitzpatrick - 2 (one more game at 299, minus 5 sack yards)

2011 - Fitzpatrick - 3 (though sack yards in two of the games take them below 300)

2012 - Fitzpatrick - 2

2013 - Manuel/Lewis - 0 (one game by EJ at 297)

2014 - Orton/Manuel - 3 (one game brought below 300 if counting sack yards)

2015 - Taylor/Manuel - 0 (closest was 298 against Jax)

I believe about 5 of them are Fitzpatrick (3 of them losses) and 2 of them are Orton (both losses)

Before we get too freaked out by this, please do consider that passing yards per game is not a statistic that's highly correlated with winning, nor is there anything magic about 300 yds which makes it better than 295 yards, other than being a nice round number. QB tend to air it out and sling it when their team is behind and they're trying to catch up, and D's tend to allow more yards when their team is ahead and they're playing prevent D.

It does speak to the overall competence (or lack thereof) at our QB position, though, since we've certainly been in positions where come-from-behind was necessary a lot.

Name two posters who say that.

that last line really brought it together. given our record, you would think there would be plenty of time to air it out (or frankly garbage yards at the ends of games where we didnt have much chance). there have been very few games that we had wrapped up and were running out the clock ourselves.

We are an embarrassing franchise.

New owner, new GM, new coaches, new players, doesn't matter, same results.

We are still in the "let's see what Darcy can do under my watch" phase of Pegula ownership here.

We need a bit more time before Pegula realizes he's surrounded by losers, it gets blown up, and he brings in a trusted old hand to pick us a high quality outsider who can build the program up from nothing.

Not sure who will play the LaFontaine role here, but hopefully this is the last year we have to endure the Old Guard.

An 0-4 start will be a good start.
