KD in CA
Welcome spring and welcome baseball! I hate to start this thread with a something about the Cubs, but it's hard not to like Joe Maddon: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/03/joe-maddon-chicago-cubs-dress-code-look-hot-mlb
Chandler#81
IMO, if there's a Dark Horse in the AL this year, it's NY. Yes, the same team that was WC team last year and is running on a 22 year win streak. They have a loaded bullpen, speed and a lot more youth than you'd expect -and a short porch in RF. Get a lead by the 6th and they're more likely to win than anybody else. JMO.
dpberr
NL Central will be an incredibly exciting division to watch this year. I think the Cubs, Cardinals and Pirates will all be 90+ win teams. Again.

KD in CA
Mets should pay more luxury tax because Yankees have a bunch of broken down players on their roster with $20MM/year contracts: http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/15072082/randy-levine-says-unfair-new-york-yankees-pay-more-new-york-mets-revenue-sharing

stinky finger
Stumbled on this thread.... let me just say the Indians are winning it this year. All other predictions are simply wrong. Well.....they certainly helped themselves by acquiring Miller. Not getting Lucroy to agree stings a little bit.
Ohiostyle
It's been a difficult 20 hours or so. Went to bed thinking we got Lucroy, woke up finding we got Miller, then Lucroy nixes the deal. Deadline isn't over, and we need to add a bat, preferably at the catcher position. Edited July 31, 2016 by Ohiostyle

Miller was the better get, IMO. You have hours to go. If they want to get something done, they will. They're seemingly "all-in". good luck! Would like to see two good young ball clubs reignite the rivalry. Good take. It certainly has been stale. An injection of youth could be the cure. The Sox, even with Papi retiring, are seemingly in good hands what with Bradley, Betts, Boegarts, Benitendi and others coming. A dynamic group of young, likable talent. It will be interesting to see how the pitching holds up in the playoffs, I'm not high on Price but hopeful The Yanks are going to be fun next year I'm glad the book is finally closed on Arod. It must have been refreshing to watch everything post trade deadline. Cheers to 17' and more meaningful games between the two teams.

You know what - maybe this is the year Price gets it right in the playoffs. He was maligned up to until the last quarter of this season. Looks like he's on track. They're as good as anyone in the AL to move on. Boston knocked NY out with the sweep a week ago and look to clinch the division and drink champagne at the Stadium - whoa is me. What a sad day with the death of Fernandez. What a good kid and how very talented he seemed. Utterly shocking. sad indeed.

I'm still shellshocked I'll tell you Ohio, the better team in the end won the series. The tribe had a few chances, but the cubs lineup was just too potent. I do feel for you, no doubt about it.
