Hillary just loves black people. She even carries hot sauce in her purse. Warren Zevon just loves Hillary. Warren Zevon hates super predators.

No one has opposed peaceful protests. It has been going on for over a week without much restriction or push back. The violence that occurs when night hits has created a dangerous environment for everyone. Putting a curfew on it is a far cry from opposing. They will be welcomed back tomorrow.

Of course you know all this. You just enjoy the attention being a simpleton gets you.

Try the ignore button. It works for me.

Or you could remind yourself of his inspiration for immigration policy. Warren Zevon is all about border security and is anti-immigration. He just hates Mexicans because he is racist. Totally unacceptable.

Thousands protesting peacefully right now in Washington DC. How long until Barr sticks the cops on them, too?

Roughly an hour per the Mayor's curfew.

Hey look, it's the American version of the Abbey Road album cover

Hillary said they were super predators and need to be brought to heel. Warren Zevon hates super predators.

It would seem that Clinton, Feinstein, and Biden were hard core fascist alt-right wing scum back in the 1990s. Warren Zevon says they are his heroes. Real leaders. Heroes of the Republic.

I made a simple point that just because the police can use force in dispersing crowds (in this instance protests we're referring to as generally all DC protests) doesn't mean that's the best course of action. And for the rest of the day I have responded to mostly comments that I have not made and the general aspersions as to why I have been silent in this thread on every other pertinent matter (because I don't spend as much time as I used to in this time suck).

This call out just cements the fact that no one bothered to read or comprehend my initial comment.

What bearing does your specific situation have on my point that I would consider retracting?

I can tell you now, DCRA isn't reviewing or issuing those permits in the current climate. That said, the police can still get a heads up and accomplish the same thing - and I believe that happened for a lot of the protest activities in DC and the surrounding areas (there was a sizeable march in Arlington, VA Sunday which was supported by Arlington PD). Based on the interview, it seems the police were not prepared or notified about the President's shtick and they were relatively disgruntled about it. Doesn't excuse any excessive behavior, but it's more understandable. There's also a lot of misinformation and sensationalizing going on from all sides, which just makes everything worse because people cling to the caricature of the enemy rather than the facts.

How are things in Houston?

I get the feeling we won't be hearing from the "Excitable Boy" for a little while. Run along Warren Zevon and better luck next time. The ghost of hypocrisy past has your number. Always has and always will. Oh, and aunt Feinstein has a message for you.

Well, that didn't take long.

Neither will Santa Claus.  It's just something parents tell their children to make them feel good.

If there ever was a civil war, I know who I’d put my money on lol

Seriously.  Its kinda embarrassing to think some people were actually pleading for the National Guard to come in and put these lawless people down.

@Jauronimo  I suppose you will retract your statement?

Considering we now have an official statement from the United States Park Police

  Quote

On Monday, June 1, the USPP worked with the United States Secret Service to have temporary fencing installed inside Lafayette Park.  At approximately 6:33 pm, violent protestors on H Street NW began throwing projectiles including bricks, frozen water bottles and caustic liquids. The protestors also climbed onto a historic building at the north end of Lafayette Park that was destroyed by arson days prior. Intelligence had revealed calls for violence against the police, and officers found caches of glass bottles, baseball bats and metal poles hidden along the street.

To curtail the violence that was underway, the USPP, following established policy, issued three warnings over a loudspeaker to alert demonstrators on H Street to evacuate the area. Horse mounted patrol, Civil Disturbance Units and additional personnel were used to clear the area. As many of the protestors became more combative, continued to throw projectiles, and attempted to grab officers’ weapons, officers then employed the use of smoke canisters and pepper balls. No tear gas was used by USPP officers or other assisting law enforcement partners to close the area at Lafayette Park. Subsequently, the fence was installed.

Throughout the demonstrations, the USPP has not made any arrests. The USPP will always support peaceful assembly but cannot tolerate violence to citizens or officers or damage to our nation’s resources that we are entrusted to protect.

Even if they had used Tear gas, I still wouldn't had been outraged about it considering the circumstances.  We are in times of the most lawlessness that we have seen in our life times and the situation is still not under control.

No, no.

Didn't you see the meme ?

They Gassed, peaceful protestors so that Trump could "thump" his upside down bible.

It was right there for all to see............
