Stupid Name Spellings

Gugny

Recommended Posts

I thought, just by watching baseball and football on television, that I'd seen all of the idiotic alternate spellings of perfectly good names.

At work today, I think I heard the best one (by best, I mean most stupid) ever:

Myqule ... it's a female's name.

!@#$ing Myqule

Pronounced ..... Michael.

It's funny. Whenever my wife and I make fun of spelling of ethnic names we always throw in at least one q.

"It's Shaniqua. S-Q-H-A-Q-N-I-Q-U-A!" Or an apostrophe or two.

What perfect timing. I just got an email from a Karryn. I assume pronounced Karen.

C-U-G-A-L-A-B-A-N-A-N-A.

I mean, really? How retarded is that?

Pronounced Coolzabanga. AT least that's the way I think it is pronounced.

Siobhan- Pronounced "Shi-vawn"

I had a client with that name once. If there is such a thing as a crazy gene, she's got it. Yeah baby she's got it.

I'll give that one a pass. It's Gaelic.
