And other stuff, too. But if guys are playing equally, and one of them has a better pedigree, why would you think the lesser pedigree guy is going to be the one to get better and the higher pedigree guy would be the one to fall off? Because no one wants to believe a QB out of nowhere can be that good, even if he is. A number 1 pick that has 6 good games is just continuing what he's done to warrant his high draft position. A guy like Tyrod, essentially coming out of no where, has to prove he can do it consistently for a significant stretch before you consider him the guy. You started this saying that TT should be getting franchise QB status by his hot start but because he is not a pedigree player he is not. You then said, well if Winston or a pedigree player got that same start people would be saying he was a franchise QB. And I then said the pedigree player, if he got off to the same start as the non-pedigree, would have a better chance of keeping it up. Who wouldn't say that? hondo in seattle Posted November 9, 2015 Share Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) TT is now fourth in the league in passing, behind Brady, Dalton and Carson Palmer, and just ahead of Aaron Rodgers. His rating is 108.9. Brady leads the league with 113.5. He's thrown 10 TDs to 4 INTS, which is good. His YPC is an excellent 8.6 which is tied for second in the league and a little better than Brady. He is basically leading the league in completion percentage with 71.8 (if you count an arbitrary over 100 completions, Wheedon has less but a little higher percentage but he's only played 2-3 games). This is, of course, not counting the running, which is one of his best assets. He's also 4-2 as a starter. Sure he is not a franchise QB yet, and we don't know if this will continue. But it's rather freaking remarkable at this stage of the season. He's got a fox-like energy and a tremendous feel for the game that can't be coached. The great part is he's not damaged goods, or raw like E.J. He is essentially at the beginning of his active learning curve and has a Leo's natural leadership ability without forcing it. He's also able to take chances but makes few mistakes (I think 3/4ths of his picks are on tips). An awful lot to like about him at this point Keep it up T-Mobile! Crazy. His speed and athleticism actually hurt him in an era when QB's can only be 6'3 or taller. This as Brees was lighting the nFL up. The Bills already owe - and will a bunch more before it's all gone - to three big things: 1. Flacco's durability and Super Bowl MVP 2. NFL Fvcks that pidgeon-holed TT as a WR first cuz of his athleticism 3. The Bills front office that missed on him in 2011 - cuz that staff and front office would have ruined TT as a rookie.. 3a. Perfect staff, surrounding talent, and ownership for this diamond in the rough. For once, Jupiter aligns with Mars. TT is THE man. In Baltimore, Tyrod learned from Flacco and watched a team work its way to the Superbowl. He is using that experience to get his teammates to buy into what it actually takes to be a winner. Having said that I still need to see him perform at this level AFTER we pay him the big bucks. We do not have a great record with guys we extend in season.
