ESPN's Todd McShay said on SportsCenter that he spoke to six NFL teams on Wednesday night, and "all six" predicted LSU T/G La'El Collins will fall out of the first round.

Although not necessarily seen as a suspect, Collins is wanted for questioning regarding a murder of his ex-girlfriend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His situation won't be settled until after the draft. Per McShay, "almost all" of the six teams said they've removed Collins from their boards, meaning they wouldn't draft Collins even if he were available in the seventh round. Apr 30 - 12:51 PM

Have you ever watched The First 48?

And it is reported many teams have taken Collins off their draft boards. He is probably the best lineman in this draft. Collins was a 5 star recruit out of high school, all american in college, would of been a high selection last draft, but came back for senior year and played great. Scouts have been following him for a long time. To pull Collins off the draft board is telling. I bet every team in the nfl is trying to solve this this case and weigh risk/reward. But where there is smoke there tends to be fire

Interesting show. The premise is if the murder is not solved within the first 48 hours, the trail usually goes cold. So there is a rush to solve the murder in the first 48 hours

After Watching most of 1st Round without seeing "The Bills Are On The Clock", I have changed my mind on the "I'd be ok with a Trade Down " scenario ... Now - I really now hope/want the Bills to make a selection at 50!

yep it was more painful than I thought. Not because I think we missed out on talent we couldn't get anywhere else but because I just felt left out of the party!

 

I imagine that's how some teams felt during FA.

like I said earlier. Either Kendricks or Perryman at lb in the second and Marpet in the third and I'd be ecstatic

I've been watching video on both and it's a coin flip on which one I take. Perryman can shut down the run and hit like a truck.

Good thread Pete. We can tick off the players that go before 50. It will get real fun around pick 45 as we pray/beg that certain players stay on the board.

As long as we dont pick a RB or WR at #50, I am happy

There are several players I would be happy with at 50. I really like Kendricks.... I am intrigued by Maxx Williams. He strikes me as a Jimmy Graham type of guy, but apparently I am way off bc the professional talent evaluators must not feel that way... Am I missing something?

he is not Gronk or Graham. He does have a good skill set and i think hes only 20. He's not a 1st rd talent. I don't think any TEs had 1st rd grades according to the draft "experts." Maxx and Walford were the only ones with 2nd rd grades but both reportedly were aloof and disinterested in team interviews and turned some teams off. I think both will go top half of second. I just watched the Jets already powerful D line get significantly better with Leonard Williams, a 305 lb Bruiser rated the best player in the draft. The D lines in our division are elite and after all these years of dreadful O lines, we still look anemic. We need O line help and fast. I don't think the Jets' D line or Miami's line are going to consider us "bullies."

I don't know much about Gregory besides the failed drug test. But is he worth it at 50? He seemed to lack accountability for his actions when interviewed on NFL network before the draft

We have talented receivers,but this guy would put us over the top. He'll be long gone before 50,so we'd need to trade up.

 

Bring him into a solid veteran locker room and his off-field troubles shouldn't be a problem.
