I don't think you can set an expiration date on how long the Bills will be paying for this move. It will basically hamstring any and all personnel decisions into the next millennium. But more importantly, if you put them in the same category, then the combination of Murray + Kiko for the same price > McCoy alone .... that's the real comparison. You are assuming Bills can sign Murray in FA with the same contract Eagles gave him, which is likely not true. There are rumors that Raiders actually offered significantly more guaranteed money than Eagles, but Murray went to Eagles anyway. Free agents may start to view Bills differently with the new owner, but Raiders and Bills are usually low in FAs' list. Without an elite QB, we desperately needed an elite RB this year. But will we suffer buyer's regret someday? If we were desirable, we'd be lining up an oline of Glenn - Boling - Wood - Richie - Bulaga. That's not true either IMO. Bulaga and Boling didn't sign with Buffalo not because it isn't a good destination, they did it to stay where they and their families are comfortable, regardless of money and offer and better destinations, just like Hughes did. You are right about Murray though. In fact, the Eagles weren't even going to sign him, he called them. Only in Buffalo would a fan see an influx of wealthy new owners, high profile head coach, blockbuster trades, significant free agent acquisitions, yet post something like this.
