It amazes me that some of the biggest climate proponents are also big proponents of Ukraine slugging it out with Russia "as long as it takes". War is hell and also hell on the environment. No amount of dire predictions are going to change that reality. Beyond efforts to make conventional energy more expensive to level the playing field additional work is needed to improve the efficiency and reliability. That might be decades away. We are closing Nuke plants while "green" energy is still expensive, unreliable and is a very small part of the energy used. Parts of the world are building nuke plants just for that reason. Mostly China, Russia, India. The EU and the west are decommissioning them.
