The Walking Dead Return

Recommended Posts

Yes, I think it was some kind of gas that killed a lot of people. Actually, it had to be, in a lot of places. Lots of suicides too.

Seems like there are too many walkers all in all without there not being gas killings. In many scenes, walkers eat the whole person, and they have no chance to be a walker (unless scratched or bitten and then they hide and turn).

Didn't it look like the sleeping bags had blood stains, maybe from bullets or stab marks. My guess is they were ambushed and their supplies taken. Probably one of those that will never completely be explained though.

At the end of this clip Beth is running from the Hospital with someone behind her.

https://www.youtube....h?v=j4GAs9TJVjM

As far as the van, the preview clip at 2:23 shows it falling off the bridge with no walkers around it. no big news, just an oversight, and it was so quick, not many would notice. But it does show the van definitely would have gone down nose first and either continue straight down or land upside down...

My little gripe was that they are in this nice office that looks like it hadn't been touched. First I would go through all the drawers, then I would make sure I took the rest of the water somehow. Daryl says fill up, then they each take a drink and walk out, at least drink and then re-fill....I actually don't care about the little details, but this one stuck out to me.

And there should have been a lot more walkers following the van off the bridge than just the one or two that came crashing down.

Those little details bother me. I think about what I would do. Check for food, booze, weapons. Look before squeezing through a door.

Exactly, both times i was saying...ok, who is going to grab her...let's just stick out head out the door blindly!

And what about Carol just running out of the building...

van totally should have landed on the hood from flipping...def. dumb, and could have been easily accomplished, just show them all smashed up and crawl out, could still survive it...

def thought Carol was going to pretend to get hurt to get taken into the hospital in an effort to rescue beth....shocked thats how it went down....good stuff

a back to normal type episode where everyone is involved in the episode.

who couldn't see the cop was going to bull rush Sasha?

Should Beth have trusted the doc? or even the Dawn?

Wasn't sure if the mullet moaned or spoke,

The Rev is losing it... just do it and kill him off already

whats the message here ... Go to FEMA for help and get burned????

Not with the recent track record, but what choice did she have...She gives Carol adrenaline? What effect would that have?

20-20 Carol wasn't faking it

I thought maybe she ran in front of the car on purpose at first, It's got to be really really really bad luck to get hit by a car nowadays. But she was slammed pretty good, so I don't think it was the case.

i was pretty crocked up after watching football all day, I am probably going to have to re-watch this episode...

Here is what some cast members say about next weeks "finale"...

“Heartbreaking” and “tragic” are among the words several TWD cast members have used to describe what happens when Rick and company face off against Officer Dawn and her Grady hospital crew in next week’s ominously titled “Coda,”

Can they do anything at this point to make Daryl look even more badass?

The Sasha thing was just painfully stupid. They've been slowly building her up lately as a fairly badass character as well but they went and threw it all away. It should have been Tyreese in that role since he's been completely useless this season. It actually would have fit with everything else he has done.

If it were Tyreese, the dude could have just talked his way out. Tyreese probably would have even escorted him back to the hospital...

I can't shake the feeling that Rick is going to die. When Daryl sided with Tyrese, it made me think of the scene at the church a few episodes back where Rick basically told Carl that they can't trust humanity anymore. Carl disagreed, saying that they can't give up on people. Add to that how Michonne tried to take Rick's place on the mission, it just seems like they are setting it up for things to go on without Rick. Hope I'm wrong.

There's no question a major character will die next week; the only question is who.

Can the show survive without Rick? Unlikely. I'm predicting it's Carol. She got her redemption, but even once she came back she didn't really "fit in" and wanted to be a loner. She goes.

It would certainly challenge the fan base.

The only one I'd be pissed about would be Daryl. I think the show could survive with him having a bigger role. Carl too.

One of my favorite parts about this show is that, IMO, no one is untouchable. It's more exciting knowing that anything can happen. Not many shows give that to the viewers.

those 4 characters are untouchable. It would be serious TV suicide of they killed any one of them off. They know that which is the exact reason why they are still around.

It would be one hell of a curve ball if the only major character who dies next week is one of the three at the church. No one would see that coming. That won't happen though, but it would be an interesting twist.

That would be crazy. I'm hoping for some type of curve ball scenario. It's refreshing when the hero dies sometimes. Few shows have the guts to try and pull moves like that off, because of the fear of losing the fan base (like Mrags said). We'll see.

the only one of them that I can even come close to thinking might die is Michone of she is saving Carls life.

I just don't see it happening tho.

I'm thinking the one guy might for saving people as he's borderline suicidal right now. Could see him sacrificing himself for Glenn and Maggie

yeah but walkers are too dumb to crawl under the church and then up into the Rev's room and unlock the door.

Walking Dead spinoff a go...

http://www.hollywood...ng Dead' Regret

Spin off is intriguing idea

They have to make it different from the "group of people running around trying to survive" that this version of walking dead is....just having a new group of characters doing the same thing in another part of the country/world ain't gonna be enough

Personally I'd like to see a "what the govt is doing" type plot line, or something along those lines....how is it being "solved"

I'd like to see absolutely zero chance of it every overlapping with the main show. Place it somewhere like Europe.

I thought the comedic Z Nation was a spinoff?

Perhaps Sasha will die. She's pregnant in real life, which could be a problem for the show. It would probably make Tyreese snap into a hard core killer, and Rick could say 'I told you so, no more playing nice'.

I'm thinking that someone will set the church on fire, the group will come back and find it burned down, and think everyone died. But Carl and company will have escaped through floor and ran away.

Good idea - with hopefully lots of hot, scantly clad British women and their accents

Would a British zombie sound snobbish? I think the spinoff would be more about the scientific research behind the outbreak. Less Rambo style killings and more Mullet type's. Don't see any reason for an overlap.

Interesting thought. They are barricaded in the church, but now have an escape hatch, if the priest doesn't just sneak out himself without the others knowing about it. I can see Sasha getting the ax as well...

Interesting. This post made me start thinking about the Rev a lot more. He started acting really sketchy as soon as they barricaded the place. Awkward looks at Judith, scratching the floor with his fingers, contemplating learning how to defend himself and then backing out. Why the hell did he SNEAK out? Why doesn't he want Michonne and Carl to know he's gone?

Is there a connection between him and slabtown? The white crosses on the back of cars could point to that. Maybe he made a deal with Dawn (or her predecessor) that he would give them some of his flock or he would steer weary travelers towards them and they would leave him there and keep him supplied with food and whatnot. It would make sense with the slabtown mentality of earning your keep.

Just some random thoughts from a guy bored at work.

The priest is such a wuss, there is absolutely no way he survived this long without some sort of help. I thought maybe he was helping the terminus people at first, but it could be slabtown. I think the crosses had more to do with the funeral home where Beth was abducted, than the church, but there definitely could be a link. Another thought (bored at work as well), does the priest set the church on fire? His sanctuary was pristine before Rick's crew arrived and look at it now....

He could burn it down because it has been tainted with violence and death. Sort of like a cleansing. He could be trying to go warn slabtown and they could come back guns blazing. So many possibilities.

If the season 1 stuff at the CDC is to be believed, it will have to be outside of the US. It's been a long time since I saw those episodes, but didn't they something about a French lab potentially being up and running still with their research?

edit: There you go, it will be a show about the French dealing with the zombie apocalypse. Just like AMC's other spinoff series, it will be much heavier with the comedy.
