Victims of gun violence often suffer injuries so severe that they require round-the-clock care for the rest of their lives — and survivors can often live much longer than expected. The kind of skilled nursing care needed for a victim who is paralyzed or brain damaged can cost "upwards of $1.7 million." If the victim is a Medicaid patient, taxpayers foot the bill..... We have the most liberal gun laws around and we have the highest gun violence rates to go with it.. I wish you guys would have the balls just to say....we want liberal gun laws...its part of our constitution...and we will live with the highest gun violence that comes with these liberal gun laws... Want to make a real difference in overall crime and homicide rates go after the gangs and the criminals that supply them with guns and put them in jail for ever. If you are identified as a gang member, obtain a search warrant and search their residence. If a gun is found whoever is the owner/leaser primary resident and they are a prohibited person, they go to jail. If they are not prohibited and its not kept secured per local laws they go to jail.
