Great French film with subtitles. Check it out if you get a chance. Beautiful cinematography and an interesting story line. The lead actress is beautiful too.

one of my favorites as well. The actress is adorable. And when she walks down the street escorting the blind man describing in detail the sights and action he can't see is one of the great movie scenes of all time

Yeah, he was a complete douche. Alternately, though, I thought Tony Shalhoub was brilliant. At the time he was mostly the goofy dude on "Wings," and he completely impressed the hell out of me.

Two other terrific things I've gotten from that movie: the soundtrack, and the recipe for the timpano, which came out in Stanley Tucci's cookbook Cucina & Famiglia. I bought it for the timpano recipe (which I've probably made a dozen times), but from cover to cover, it's one of our most used cookbooks.

Cool, next time I'm in L.A. I will be sure to stop by for dinner, and see how good the timpano is.

One of my favorite actors. So many good movies, The Professional, Dracula, The Fifth Element, True Romance, there are so many great movies with him in it.

Same here...I'll toss out:

Air Force One

Leon: The Professional

Dark Knight Trilogy

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

And "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" led to Oldman's, amazingly, first and only Oscar nomination.

He was also very good in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban".

The George Lucus classic, Howard the Duck!

Also if I remember correctly, it's the first Marvel movie

Trivia time...name five actors or actresses that have been in or will be in a DC comic movie and Marvel movie.

He and Michael Wincott are, IMO, the two most undercast actors in all of Hollywood.

Ben Affleck is one (Daredevil & Batman v Superman)

I read that George Lucas originally wanted Gary Oldman to be the voice of General Grievous in Revenge of the Sith, but it never worked out.

As for the trivia question I will add Ryan Reynolds (X-Men Origins: Wolverine & Green Lantern)

I'm watching R.I.P.D. right now (waiting for Game of Thrones), and I believe I can say with complete confidence that it belongs nowhere near this list.

What a ****-fest.

Is it that bad? I heard nothing but awful things about it, but I refused to see it out of a personal gripe.

Do the X-Men movies count as Marvel? That would add James Marsden and Ryan Reynolds to the list.

edit: And then there's Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and the Silver Surfer if the crappy FF movies count as Marvel.

Did anyone else think the 3rd Nolan Batman was ****?

Hell yes! Absolutely abysmal......particularly when compared to the excellent writing of the first two.
