I feel for parents today as there can be very little control over this at the end of the day. Too many devices with too much easy access to think you can shield your kids from it. PS 11,111 posts! I get this but think of the friends parents who are not savvy enough to do the same or maybe just don't care. At the end of the day I don't think kids are seeing anything different than what we did as somebody inevitably had access to magazines or whatever. The primary difference is the ease at which they can get to it and maybe the fact that there is some twisted stuff out there. Btw - if he hasn't already Ill put my money on your kid figuring out a work around. This is one of the best things about being young. You figure out technology.
