If we want them we have to put in a waiver claim, and we have 8th priority in same order as draft, so if any team ahead of us puts a claim in they are awarded the player. I also suspect from his post-game comments and from some of the surprise cuts, Marrone is sending a message "maximum effort at all times or you're outta here". KeisterHollow Posted August 31, 2013 Share Posted August 31, 2013 There are now Guards, CB's, and a few LB'ers available who look to be an upgrade on the back-end of our roster; in fact, there might be a few players out there who could come in and compete for starting spots at G and CB. Adding a few of the right players could make this roster quite good in eight weeks or so, when Gilmore gets back. I don't know if he can place them at all, but at this point, 3 Preseason games in a row averaging over 50 yards / punt looks like an upgrade to me after the shanks we were treated to.... Offensively, the Patsoes released WR Quentin Sims from Tennessee-Martin. He's a big target. Very athletic, and sure handed... I've said repeatedly that I don't trust TJ Graham one bit...
