Charles Romes
He does not have great football speed. His speed kicks in only after 50m when he hits full stride (his stride is like 50 percent longer than the next guy). The 10 or 20 yard dash would be the best test for football speed. zow2
according to the NBC analyst, Bolt takes 41 steps, everyone else 44 thus it's less work for him to cover the same ground, plus he's just plain fast! lol. BTW- thanks for nothing NBC. Waited up till 11pm to watch then finally fell asleep...only to see the result on the front page of my morning paper. They really needed to wait until after 11pm ET to show this race? fail.
BuffalothruMyVeins
TJ and CJ are faster... Donald, Dorin and Fred are as fast. :-P
KD in CA
That was a great 100m finals. Can't ever remember that much talent in one race.
Brainiac72
might as well try Gatlin then... he's Graham's buddy and he's a better starter than Bolt.

Bolt would get broken in half. He'd be worse than Renaldo Nehemiah.
GOBILLS78
That was a great 100m finals. Can't ever remember that much talent in one race. Hard to believe that our jaws dropped when Carl Lewis won gold at 9.99. How many were under 10 seconds last night?
Mr. WEO
That was a great 100m finals. Can't ever remember that much talent in one race. Yet he blew them away. He wasn't even challenged the last 50. He could have broken his WR if they pushed him. He was toying wih his Jamaican teammates at their Olympic trials, it turns out.
KD in CA
Hard to believe that our jaws dropped when Carl Lewis won gold at 9.99. How many were under 10 seconds last night? Most of the field. Gay ran a 9.80 and doesn't get a medal. Amazing.
Billsrhody
Randy Moss: 6'4", 210 lbs, really fast Usain Bolt 6'5", 200 lbs, even faster just saying..
paintmyhouse
My friend posted this, I can't steal it, it is funny: My wife just said Usain Bolt's run was the second-most exhilarating 9.63 seconds she's experienced this year.
Best Player Available
All I can say is WOW. Can he catch a football? The niners tried that with Renaldo Nehemia. Other than a waste of a roster spot how did that turn out? Edited August 6, 2012 by Best Player Available
todzilla
Bolt is already worth about $20 million and after last night that will certainly go up. He'd be crazy to play football. It was a really fun race to watch though. When he kicks in to that extra gear...wow!
ddaryl
track stars rarely make good football players anyways.
You herd it hear last
might as well try Gatlin then... he's Graham's buddy and he's a better starter than Bolt. plus with the bronze, his signing bonus wouldn't be as high.

It was a really fun race to watch though. When he kicks in to that extra gear...wow! Yeah, I was going to say that. He probably couldn't care less about American football. That said, if I was the Jamaican soccer team, why not try and make him a striker?
