  1. Get real. It's right in front of you. And Joe Ferguson was mediocre.
  2. I'm done with stats based on performances in games I watched. I can tell with my own eyes that the Bills defense has sucked, or that certain players, regardless of stats, aren't performing well (or that some are). Just watch the games...
  3. Thanks for clearing that up! You are right, of course, but there are also people that have no idea what they are talking about and are sometimes right. Who woulda thunk it? There are also people who aren't very realistic, that insist that they know what they are talking about. The offer is for them...capiche? I didn't say I'm happy about them not making it. So you're in?
  4. Last season, (after 5 games) I bet THEY WOULD make the playoffs, and lost the bet,. I paid in full ($150.00), and "bbb" can vouch for me, I have never met him, had some mildly contentious differences of opinion with him, and will probably never even see the guy. I paid him and I live on the other side of the country!. I may be annoying, but I stand behind what I say. So many others here want to act like they know what they are talking about, but don't want to put ANYTHING on the line.
  5. What a coincidence that the team with the longest playoff drought would have the most gloomy messageboard! Anyone want to make a bet that they don't make the playoffs?
  6. What would they do with him? Fitz can't get the ball to the receivers. To trade for Bowe would be silly. I'm not even trying to use this thread to beat up on Fitz, it's just true. He can't even get the best out of what he has already.
  7. I don't think he is playing well because it's his contract year either. He is too enthusiastic to just be doing it for the money. I think he takes pride in his game, and that is something that is lacking on this team. In fact, it might be the biggest missing piece of the puzzle (at least on defense). I think the Bills need more guys that base their self-worth on their ability to win football games. They don't even have to be the greatest players. In "real life" it's rather sad (I'm sure some will disagree , but I think Jim Kelly, and Daryl Talley fall into this category), but I think that (generally) the best players really can't do anything else! And their ego is entirely dependent on how well they play, and winning games. I don't get that feeling from many on this team. I got it from Whitner, and I get it from McKelvin. It takes some damaged, maladjusted, violent guys to win NFL games. Think Lawrence Taylor... Ray Lewis!
  8. I wouldn't want any of them. But of the three, I prefer Rivers. And Rivers is BETTER than Fitz,
  9. I no longer mind if a player talks "smack" about other teams before a game. It at least tells me he is putting some pride on the line, and won't coast. Even though Whitner sucked, at least I knew he was gonna put himself into the game. I have my doubts about other players doing that, for instance Mario Williams. I would be very excited to hear him guarantee a victory over the Pats or Jets. Then I know the guy is gonna show up. As an aside, is anyone gonna make a big deal out of Gailey comparing football to war?
  10. I posted during the game that he is "my favorite Bill, sadly". He comes to play, and has loads of talent. It is up to the coaches to put him in place to use it, and keep him out of situations where he is a liability. He plays with pride, and if the rest of the team played with as much, the Bills would be a playoff team.
  11. You mean like when Kelly was the QB? He has been pass happy, but with a good passer he should be fine. A big factor in keeping Gailey would be stability, the team needs that.
  12. Let's see them beat a team with a good QB! I have to wonder if they would have won if Kolb hadn't been knocked out of the game. And please don't tell me how Skelton was the prior starter (I know), he just got off the injury report, and had to jump right into the fire.
