This, ladies and gentlemen, is the quality of the national media's coverage of the Bills.

I keep hearing about how good the Ravens are and how they will challenge for a playoff spot in the AFC. Really, they have an average QB with a dimenishing skill set, no top of the line running backs (sorry, don't see Alex Collins as even close to elite), an ok offensive line, very solid at T, interior decent. The WR group dosent scare me challenging the Bills secondary and their #1 pick TE Hayden Hurst is out Sunday. Defense is solid and not spectacular, solid outside pass rush in Suggs and Judon, very average secondary. Defensive line is solid but again not elite and they are down two starters one on the defensive line (Willie Harris) and without their top corner in Jimmy Smith (suspended for being a knucklehead) The special teams return game is weak, great placekicker in Justin Tucker and a good punter. They have the look to me of a 6 win team at best. So, please tell me why the national media is all over their jocks unless I'm totally missing something.

Is anyone else amused and/or annoyed with McD constantly referring to this team as a "young football team"? And the media never calls him on it. I've seen rankings anywhere from 7th to 2nd OLDEST team in the league. Yes they have rookies at QB and MLB with second year players at LT, DB, and OLB. These are all critical positions but it hardly makes the entire team young. Shady, KW, Hughes, Poyer, Hyde, Lorax, Star, Ducasse, KB, Ivory, Clay, and Davis before his retirement are all vets with many years of service and play key roles on the team. I know this is not a big deal but it is just really annoying. I could not sit there as a reporter and hear him say "young football team" no less than 5 times in PC today and not call him out on the actual facts.

I normally have a lot of confidence with their analytics and when they came out strongly against Josh Allen, I was really discouraged. If they end up being wrong on this, it may be one of their bigger misses using their advanced stats. It seems to me that they're already being a little stuborn about Josh's early success. It is very early, still, but I would have expected them to say something about him. Could Josh possibly ding their credibility?

The consensus seems to be that the team is bad, because the personel decisions have been bad. Do we trust the process here, or are these guys right? I was feeling good before Cincy, but now I'm feeling like maybe there is real reason to doubt. Will we really be the worst in the league? Is our trajectory downward or middling again? Someone please give me reasons not to believe what these guys are saying.

Look: one had to be just above retard IQ, or massively affected by emotional contrivance, to believe that Asians, over the course of 20 years, were going to remain a homogeneous voting bloc in the first place. Or Hispanics, or Blacks, or whites. 20 years of culture and experience...is supposed to just go by, and nobody changes their views, never mind whole sections of population? That's like saying the iphone was never going to have an impact on culture, over 20 years. STFU! Saying stuff like that only serves to make some people dumber, and force the rest of us to contend with them.

I was watching channel 2 news this morning and Adam Benini and Vic Carrucci were saying that with the way this team is playing that McDermott JUST HAS TO BE on the hot seat. Then they bemoan how bad they played against the Colts and it's just unacceptable for the defense to give up all those points to the 1-5 colts. Maybe they forgot how critical turnovers are (from the offense) to getting blown out. Guess they forgot how we demolished the Vikings at home and that a superior team can get their butts handed to them by a lesser team. What I find sad is these clowns can't see the long game that is going on here and that this offseason is going to be used to finish most of the rebuild that is taking place. McDermott is going nowhere.

When Peterman replaced Taylor and threw 5 interceptions it was immediately turned into a race issue, and that was not Petermans fault. Writers all over American decided to make a 5th round quarterback the face of white privilege. He replaced a black quarterback. Then he had a job and Kaepernick didn't. Even EJ Manuel piled on. This is very unfair to Peterman who was just trying to make a living. Everyone knows race is behind the mocking of him but but won't say it. There are tons of articles just like this one illustrating what I am talking about. Fifth round draft picks don't get this much publicity. They just don't. Unless someone has an agenda. Race had nothing to do with it. Worse than Peterman. People love to leave Alex Smith out of the conversation because it does not fit their narrative. This year he signed a 4 year 96 million dollar contract. Players can improve. If the Raiders or somebody else sign Peterman to their practice squad don't be surprised if he does what many former Bills did. Turn into an solid NFL player.

I love the Bills being ignored. It’s our little secret about a great overall team and organization. A small TV market location and a team with a history of losing doesn’t grab big NFL headlines. It seems that NFL game day announcers have a script for the Bills that includes looking for imperfections in Josh Allen’s play or the ‘big mistake’. And, why do I keep hearing that the defense is playing well in a game while our rankings last year and currently tell a much larger story of excellence? Let the Rams, Patriots, Chiefs and Cowboys get all the attention. We don’t get the big ratings or deserve the glamour team status. That’s fine with me.
