  1. I expect this to be a problem in the regular season. Last year, we were told Shaq's shoulder wouldn't be an issue when he was drafted and look how that turned out. Also, Sammy's offseason injury which hampered in during the regular season.
  2. Thanks again Astro, I always look forward to your reports.
  3. I did the same as well. I was laughing my azz off when I first saw that.
  4. Thanks again Astro for another detailed report. Also, congrats on the offer to go on Sirius.
  5. Thank you again Astro for another very detailed report. I don't want to drink the Koolaid just yet, but reading multiple times that the new coaches are teaching/running something you've never seen in a Bills training camp before is very encouraging.
  6. Goodwin was used effectively his first season here. After that, he was either barely used or just used as a deep threat.
  7. Thank you again Astro for another great report! How is Dawkins looking so far? Any chance of him starting or some point in the season supplanting Mills at RT?
  8. Disagree. When asked how many games he expected to win, Gailey stated "all of them."
  9. There's been no talk from this team in many, many years about winning the division and winning the Super Bowl, only "make the playoffs." So, is that the Bills championship, just making the playoffs? That's a very lame goal!
  10. It seems the Bills plan is to try and make the playoffs as well as rebuild at the same time and you can't do both which is why they continue to stay around 6-10 and 7-9. If that's what it takes, make the team awful for a few seasons to get elite players, then so be it. People forget the Bills records from 1984-86, they were 2-14, 2-14 and 4-12 before they started to turn the corner. By being that awful, the Bills were able to draft a lot of good players and became a long term contender. I'll take a few years of suffering to get to having a long term contender again vice just hoping for a Wild Card berth.
  11. Thanks again Astro! Your reports blow away anything from the Buffalo media.
  12. It worked for Tampa Bay and Tennessee and they got good QB's and are on the rebound. Teams like the Ravens and Broncos have multiple wins against the Patriots in the playoffs, so it can be done. Also, Bill Polian feels the Patriots aren't invincible either: http://nesn.com/2017/05/bill-polian-has-some-fighting-words-for-patriots-says-they-arent-invincible/amp/
  13. Disagree. During Brady's time in the AFC East, he really hasn't had to face other elite QB's within the division. The Bills average during the drought has been 6-10. Yeah, they gone 9-7 and 8-8 twice but they've also gone 3-13, 4-12 and 5-11 in those years as well. Otherwise it's mainly been 6-10 and 7-9. All of which have not been good enough.
  14. I'm tired of seeing this team go 6-10/7-9. Either build the team to win the division or draft a QB every year until one pans out or pony up the draft picks to move up in the draft to draft a QB at the top of the draft. By just trying to make it in as a Wild Card year and year is a weak mentality and has gotten the team nowhere except 6-10/7-9.
  15. I agree it should be one or another. IMO, the Bills should rebuild the team the right way. Trade players first and stockpile high draft picks. Rebuild for two to three years. Draft a QB high that has the potential to be an elite franchise QB. Next, start by building up both the offensive and defensive lines. If you look at successful teams like the Patriots and Raiders, both teams have solid pass protecting O-lines along with great QB's. Kyle Williams, Incognito and Wood are nearing the end of their careers, so you might as well try and get assets for them now. For players that have shorter playing careers such as RB's and DB's, I would wait to draft good one's until the team is close to being a playoff team. Otherwise I would have journeymen fill the positions until they can be replaced. The point about continually drafting QB's is that the Bills don't intend on rebuilding (or "tanking"), so if they don't plan on giving up multiple first round picks (like Washington did for RGIII (three first round draft picks))), then they need to keep drafting QB's very frequently until one pans out. I don't think they tanked either, but Sal C. thinks they did. I just think the team was poorly put together.
  16. I got on WGR550 this afternoon and discussed the Bills basically doing the exact same stuff over the past 17 years which has led them to a 6-10/7-9 average. Sal C. got riled up when I said the Bills have no real plan of building this team into a winner as they continually do the same things (hope to make the playoffs) and he hates the idea of a full rebuild (meaning “tank”). I like Sal’s commentary normally, but I disagree with him on this one and I like Bulldog’s take on the subject. I’m on at 32:54:http://www.wgr550.com/media/audio-channel/7-27-schopp-and-bulldog-hour-1mp3 After the guys hung up, Sal said they tried the rebuild/be bad intentionally approach in 2010. I can’t believe that Sal C. actually thinks the Bills were trying to rebuild in 2010, give me a break! The 2010 Bills team did not tank intentionally, they were just a terrible team! That was Cooter’s [Gailey] first year with the team and if I’m not mistaken it was Boss Hogg’s [Nix] first as a GM and he did a terrible job as GM. Sal also ranted and raved about the terrible QB’s in that draft class after Newton, but I feel the Bills need to keep drafting QB's until one pans out. The Patriots have drafted more QB’s during the Bills playoff drought than the Bills have and the Patriots have an elite franchise QB. It goes to show that what I said on the show was correct that the Bills have had no plan on how to build the franchise and have not built the team to win the division. I like that Bulldog agreed with me and said he’s so tired of finishing 6-10 and 7-9.
