Allen’s numbers and virtually all of the relevant QB metrics dwarf Lamar or lead Lamar, it’s not even close. Before the niners game there was nobody saying Lamar was a serious MVP candidate because of his mediocre numbers, 3 hours and 5 INTs later by the Ravens defense and he’s the unanimous front runner lol.. Tua will never be competing with Josh, he’s just not on that level. The Dolphins team however will compete if they can keep Tua surrounded with all that speed and those weapons.

I agree with this, I only question your premise of that Tua has shown to be more than a game manager, I’ve seen him manage that explosive set of weapons but I don’t recall Tua taking over a game on his own when all else fails. I certainly hope and believe the Dolphins will extend him as you suggested, I love that idea.

People in this thread saying there’s been no stand out QB season this year, Allen is going to end up 45+ TDs, I’m surprised how many people think that’s a ho hum season lol division title and 45+ TDs and that won’t be enough to beat a dude with 20 less TDs ? He’s gonna need to hit 50 TDs ? That’s crazy in IMHO.

I think the percentages on their own dictate this scenario as far fetched, but even if you disagree with the odds and just do as another poster suggested and pick the favourites of all those games necessary for the Bills to miss out, ask your self if doing the same experiment the last few weeks would have generated the the 7% outcome. I understand the trepidation but I’m not even remotely considering it as plausible outcome.

I said what I was watching, I wasn’t talking about winning and I gave him credit, he still had to make the throws and the plays. I think he’s awesome but its pretty obvious when watching them play football. It’s not knocking Mahomes to say Allen is a better player, Allen is the greatest duel threat QB to ever play.

But we can just watch them both play the game and clearly see who has more tools in his belt, I give mahomes credit for taking advantage of having a HOF coach HOF TE and HOF WR.. good on him. I know what I’m seeing when I watch them both play.

I had to go double check the stats after hearing people saying they’d give the MVP to a RB… McCaffrey came into the game with 1200 yards rushing… so are we saying he’s winning the MVP because of the now 21 TDs ? And if yes, how does that stack up to previous RB seasons and MVP winners
