  1. Like I said in my original post, I respect a players right to opt out before the season starts, but this guy quit on his team in the middle of the playoffs, and I can't see his teammates forgiving him or welcoming him back with open arms whatever the reason for the opt out. Imagine if the Bills were in the AFC championship game, and all of a sudden Josh Allen, Tre White, or Stephon Diggs up and decided they didn't want to play anymore because it didn't feel like a real "playoff atmosphere"......I can only imagine how this board would explode if that happened.
  2. I completely respect the idea of any player opting out of the season before it starts, but this guy basically quits on his team in the middle of the playoffs. I just can't see how his teammates or Bruins fans will ever forgive this guy for this. If you listen to the interview Rask gave after the last game, he basically said he wasn't taking it seriously and it wasn't really a playoff atmosphere and he didn't really care. A sentiment his teammates promptly shot down. I'm sure the team asked him to leave after his comments but allowed him to try to save face by letting him "opt out to be with his family". What do you guys think, and how would you react if a Bills player did this?
  3. Another year, another storm pointing itself at Florida. At least this one is a weakling compared to the storms we've had coming near or on land here in Florida over the past few years. Prior to the last 4 years, I would say the Central Florida area wasn't even in the "cone" for a storm for a good 10 years. Its getting annoying. 2+ months of the Hurricane season to go..... This is not the year to have a major hurricane hit your area(not that there ever is a good time for one!!). Covid +? Major Hurricane? = RIP Florida
  4. Sounds like the DJ’s from a morning drive-time radio show!?
  5. In case you hadn't heard, Chiefs lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif earned his medical degree and requested to add “M.D.” to the nameplate on his jersey. The NFL reportedly denied his request. It started with a simple tweet saying the NFL rejected his request, and buzz and reaction continued to grow.Jun 27, 2018 I remember when the above happened a couple years ago, and thought the NFL missed a real opportunity(as usual) to promote a player with a great story by allowing the MD on his nameplate. I'm sure the league regrets that decision now, as he's showing himself to be a high-character individual, worthy of recognition.
  6. I remember this line from the movie the 300, and I'm surprised I've never heard it used in the sports world. I think it would be a perfect slogan for an NFL defense:
  7. I’ve been watching Snowpiercer on TNT....the season finale is this Sunday, and it’s been pretty interesting thus far...definitely like the TV show more than the movie. Also, I just started watching The OA on Netflix. I’ve heard good things about it, and the first episode was intriguing for sure.
  8. Yes, but not even the hottest UK pop star, IMO.....how about Marina Diamandis... or Lauren Mayberry from CHVRCHES..... or Anne-Marie.....
  9. The PGA tour has restarted its season two weeks ago with no fans, and I believe three golfers and three caddies have already tested positive in the first two weeks....and this is golf...the most socially-distanced sport possible. I hate to imagine how many players will test positive on a weekly basis if the NFL begins its season. The NBA restart will be a good barometer for how an NFL season might fare, however, I believe the NBA has a much more stringent plan and a "bubble" in place....something that the NFL does not seem to have.
  10. +1 For anyone who thinks these protesters aren't being policed differently, consider this: A month or so ago, white protesters stormed the Michigan capitol with long guns and screamed in the faces of cops like this: and the cops stood silently and took their abuse while dressed like this: However, when people are peacefully protesting an actual crime, they encounter police dressed like this: and are tear-gassed, pepper-sprayed and attacked. Does that seem equal to you??
  11. I heard a joke where the guy said "Why do we use Mt. Rushmore as a standard for anything....to be honest, Mt. Rushmore isn't even on the Mt. Rushmore of face carvings in stone!!"
  12. As I said in the Gabe Davis draft thread, as a UCF alum, I've watched this guy dominate for years, and is the exact type of WR the Bills receiver corps was lacking. Big, strong, hands-catcher with a large catch radius. Keep in mind that this guy was a top option on an offense that lead UCF to an undefeated season, a Bowl win vs. Auburn, and an overall 25 game win streak. Last season, when UCF played Stanford, Davis was guarded by a CB that is projected to be a 1st round pick in next years draft and he completely abused him all day(well, first half until the game became a blowout). I'm so excited to have him, and Zack Moss on this team!!
  13. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that there will be a season.
  14. I wear rubber gloves, and most people I see at the store do as well. I also put a paper towel on the inside of my mask to avoid the moisture problem you mention.
  15. I couldn’t stand the character of Wendy Byrd’s brother on this season of Ozark....basically everything he said or did was complete stupidity. I understand the purpose of his character this season, but he could have been portrayed in a less annoying manner with the same effect.
  16. Love Seinfeld and Curb your Enthusiasm for sure. Three others I enjoyed and didn't see mentioned yet would be Wings, Parks and Rec, and Community.
