I think Bernard will be the 1st because he's a Captain, it's a low AAV, and it will be a home town deal. Benford will be next because it's a premium position and the Bills are lost at CB without him... Shakir is super tricky... I don't know... I love the guy and I'll take him over almost any slot in the league... But WR salaries are through the roof and I think the value in this offense, if it stays everyone eats, may be in question at almost 20M AAV... Still, how do you not re-sign that guy? I've been pretty clear on my stance where Jimbo is concerned. Love him, but anything over 10M AAV and I'm pretty much out... Furthermore I have to wonder if it's not a better team building strategy to trade him now while he's at peak value, save the 5.2M on the cap in 2025, and Draft a RB somewhere in Rds. 2-5 in what looks to be an absolutely loaded RB class...

I hope he does... But if it's anything more the 10M AAV I hope it's not in Buffalo...

I'm definitely not one to say a player does not deserve his market value. But perspective is important here as well... By the end of the 2025 season Cook will have earned over 9 million dollars in the NFL as a late 2nd Rd pick. He's not an every down back, so that's not too shabby. Not to mention he'll be a UFA in 2026 and baring any major injury this year he's going to command a hefty raise no matter what... And he's earned it no question. I love Jimbo and I absolutely appreciate what he's done for this team. But if he's going down the "pay me" road his brother has led him to...if I was Beane...I would package him up in a nice bow and send him off for hopefully a 3rd or 4th round pick, then I would use one of my 2nd-5th round picks on a RB in what appears to be one of the best RB Drafts in recent history. No disrespect to Cook. A trade brings a 5.26 million cap savings in 2025, and who knows, a premium RB could very well slide into the 4th round this year. I just think it's logical to move on now if Cook is looking for anything other than a home town deal.

I did not even have my own computer yet... Kultar reached out to me and I wrote a couple Draft articles when I was younger and had the energy to do that stuff... No thank you on the undersized edge... He's a good player, but not at all what I think the Bills need right now. I like Royals. If the Bills like him that's about where they will have to take him because this is a weak WR Draft and the good ones are going to go fast. No way Morrison makes it to 62 unless the injury concerns are real, and if so, then I don't want him. If he's healthy that's a grand larceny-type steal in the late 2nd. The Bowman and Simon picks are OK... Overall I would not be thrilled with this Draft because of Ezeiruaku at the top...

15 is a bit crazy for a RB IMHO... But I expect the Bills and Cook to work something out... If not though, Beane needs to unload him now when his market value may be at it's peak... It's going to take more from Beane than being a solid B GM to get this team over the hump... That means he's going to have to take some chances. This is one of the best RB Drafts in recent history. There will be good starting caliber RB's in the 3rd and 4th Rds this year...maybe later...So moving Cook now may be the best move long term for this team. I'd rather keep him. But he's a RB...So only on a home town deal...

The depth at WR is just not there this year IMHO... I think there are some good players in Days 1 and 2... But after that it looks like a wasteland to me... I think anyone saying you can wait on WR till Rd 4 is being a little too wishful this year... But we'll see...

Outside of some insane deal coming his way from outside, I cannot imagine a world where Mack does not re-sign. To say he was an integral piece to the 2024 puzzle may be an understatement... He did a lot, and he did it with his own brand of style that the fan base obviously loved.

Without digging in at all yet, generally it seemed to me that Mahomes was ultra quick with his decisions and confident against the Bills D... Receivers were open and he knew where he was going with the ball fast. Philly got him to hesitate, and even a slightest hesitation can be trouble against that bunch because they are very big, and very athletic on that front 4... But it did seem like his 1st read was taken away a lot last night... And he was flat out panicking a lot.

Well... I kinda thought it was obvious... Joe Marino went in depth about this last off season... Then the gave up 32 to KC again... And it would have been worse if Mahomes does not butterfingers that snap... It is what it is... Defensive HC though!!! So we've got that going for us...

The Bills problem is McD's system and talent on Defense now, and especially the Defensive game planning in the last game of the playoffs the last 5 years. Find another Defensive ex HC like Spags to come in and help and I'm all ears...

He actually had better D-Linemen in Carolina...

I would like those picks for sure... I would be happy with Harmon. I would take the Safety Watts over Tuimoloau at 56... Nothing against Tuimoloau...I just think Watts has a much higher ceiling... And I think a stud Safety like Watts is a bigger need right now... I also think Bond goes higher than 62... This WR Draft is too thin for him to slide that far IMHO... But the names you picked are fine and further proof of why I really like this Draft for the Bills... I think the depth lines up with their needs nicely... Good job!

It's the deepest prospect S Draft I can remember and I've been doing this amateur scout thing for over 35 years... It's not really top heavy as far as top 15-25 guys... But overall it's crazy deep IMHO...

That's for sure. But especially on the Defensive side. How they managed some of their better performances this year (I know it was take-aways) is still amazing to me based on everything they were up against... Personnel, talent, scheme, coaching... Because there were times, and they were not necessarily few, where this was one of the worst Defenses I've seen in a while.

I'm not sure how far back the history goes here on TSW... I'm too busy to check now... But you should see what I wrote about Chris Jones the year we took Shaq at #19 overall... He was by far my favorite player in that Draft...

I agree they're not 15 players away... I just don't see the need in keeping highly paid players that continuously underachieve in Playoffs, and against good Offenses, when you can get cheaper players to do the same thing and still win. I'd overhaul and trade to help clear up space for splash players here and there. Maybe it's not possible? I don't know. You're probably right. But I just don't see where we are going ultimately with players like Groot, Epenesa, DaQuan Jones, Von Miller, etc... Going back to the Cincy Playoff game I've been writing about this. We have to do better... Of course I know Cook is under contract... But it's always cheaper a year early... But to clarify I'm talking about a home town deal. If he wants what his brother is asking for I want no part of it. Sure the Bills dominated the AFC East and finished with the 2 seed with that D. You think they would have beat KC at home with the 1 seed?... I disagree... I think, like I've been saying right here for weeks now that our Defense would eventually let us down and the only way we win is if Josh put up a 40 burger... I was wrong... He needed 33... And good grief don't get me started on that secondary... I know we always get banged up but wow... We need an influx of talent back there big time. Anyway... You're right... I'm frustrated... My apologies...
