  1. No, sometimes it's filled with cyanide.
  2. Dude was just trying to watch the game and the phone keeps ringing and a baby keeps crying. Going to a bar was his only option.
  3. Forget it Jake, it's Chinatown.
  4. If there is I'm sure they have Cheech and Chong to thank for it.
  5. This. People who think the NFL is doing this because they genuinely care about this idea of "player safety" are fooling themselves. The NFL is making changes to the game to protect themselves from liability. It's already started with past players suing the league. The NFL is making these changes to prevent injury to prevent litigation. And if litigation does come they can point to all they did to make the sport as safe as possible. So stop blaming Goodell. He's doing what he thinks needs to be done to save the future of the sport. Without these types of changes the NFL would have been sued into oblivion.
  6. I don't mind this idea. As it is now we go to commercial, see a kicker kick the ball out of the endzone and then go back to commercial. My guess is it's just you. The NFL wouldn't be instituting these rule changes if they didn't have data that suggests there's a much higher rate of injury on kickoffs. Do you really think they're changing things just to change them? I do agree with you about teams getting first downs via penalties in this situation. They could always implement a rule saying the team has to gain 15 yards on the play to get the 1st down. Any penalty simply moves the ball up field but it's still 4th and 15 (i.e. there are no automatic 1st downs on this play.)
  7. What's worse: People getting upset at a stupid party photo or people getting upset with the people getting upset at the stupid party photo? I can't decide...
  8. You're the one making statements that Batch is better - you go do the ground work and prove your statement instead of telling others you'll need more details. People are beyond rational with this Fitz hate but it's to be expected. The mob has their pitchforks and they need to string somebody up.
  9. I just happened to be cutting up some onions as I read that article.
  10. Some of you guys kill me. CJ wasn't consistant today. You want to run CJ no matter what but other than the long TD run he was getting stuffed all day. You can't keep giving him the ball when he's getting shut down or you'll end up in 2nd and 3rd and long and then we'll have to hear people B word about how Fitz sucks and why is he throwing the ball but when you're put into those situations they dictate throwing the ball. FJ was getting consistant yards today, turning out run after run and keeping drives going and putting them in 3rd and manageable situations and people STILL B word? It's his ability to keep turning out yardage and putting them in good down and distance situations that enabled them to run the ball so much. Really, I think people just want to preach their agenda and that's it. The Bills put up 34 points today and ran the ball all over the Jags - what does it matter who got the yards?
  11. So you can't give any details because it's a "waste of time" but you can post 10 times in the same thread arguing about reading the book?
  12. Trust in public institutions? People still do that? And a better question: The institutions still give them reason to? I don't know if these people live in better countries or if they're just blind to the corruption that takes place.
  13. Apparently in 1958 the US had a plan to detonate a nuclear device on the moon... http://security.blog...moon/?hpt=hp_c1 Which immediately made me think of this Mr. Show bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Csj7vMKy4EI
  14. If they get to 7 or 8 wins it wouldn't surprise me at all.
  15. Yeah, this is what I thought as well and I actually started to type it out so I looked it up to double check. He only averaged 8 yards per punt return and had 1 TD. Somehow I remember him being more prolific as a returner.
  16. I just looked it up and Woodson is the only pure defensive player to ever win it.
  17. The Bills rank 30th in the NFL at picking up the first down on 3rd and short. They're successful a paltry 32.1% of the time (compare that to the Titans who are successful 65% of the time.) That is not a good run blocking line my friends. There's a reason they pass and there's a reason they run half the time out of the shotgun - it's because they can't line up and drive defenders back. They are not a physical line.
  18. They've won their division 6 times since the millenium and had only one losing season since then (they also won their conference in 2004.) Contrast that with the Bills who are the exact opposite - they've finished last in their division 6 times (including 4 seasons in a row) and had only one winning season in that period. So yeah, if we want to go back decades and decades they've been worse, but it's not even close in recent times.
  19. I don't even mind that penalty on it's own. Gilmore was grabbing some jersey there. However, given that they didn't call the blatant hold on Dareus while Luck was standing in the endzone a few snaps before (which would have resulted in a safety) I had thought that the refs were taking "let them play" mentality. I guess that only went in one direction.
  20. Oh the irony of these people shouting out "you are pathetic" and "you're a disgrace." I love the idea that some of you think it's justified to treat other people this way just because they don't play football as well as you want them to. If you want to "voice your opinion" stop paying for tickets, beer and merchandise. That message will be more effective than shouting juvenile things at the players.
  21. You'd think they were giving away free food to starving people the way WalMart crowds act.
  22. I think you're overlooking the fact that there are almost no CBs in the league who have success in single coverage the majority of the time. That's called a shut down corner and there are only a few in the league. To expect a rookie to be one of those guys right off the bat is a bit much. So while I agree with your above statement I think the problem are your expectations from a rookie CB. Personally I'm pretty happy with his play, particularly recently. I think he's made big strides since the beginning of the season and I'm excited to see the jump in his play between year's one and two. As for Dareus, I'm on board with you. I'm incredibly disappointed in how he's played this season. That being said I've noticed a big jump in his play the past 2 games so let's hope that continues.
  23. Don't forget when they're asked to run block on 3rd and short situations too - which is the telltale sign of how good a team's OL is at run blocking. This Gaily coached team is soft. Spread offense, lots of screens, an OL that can't drive the DL back on 3d and short and a D that is the worst in the league at stopping the run. Soft, soft soft.
  24. It depends on the situation... 4th and 1 I don't want Spiller carrying the ball. 3rd and 10 in a 3 WR set I'd rather have FJ back there picking up the blitz. There are lots of situations in which Spiller is absolutely the best guy to give the ball to - but that doesn't mean it's all the time.
  25. Man, you guys are piling on the OP. While I'm not upset with the guys for laughing and smiling I'll be honest, I don't get it. I've competed in lots of things during my life, Football, baseball, tennis tournaments and (more recently) Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments. And every time I've lost I've been the sportsman and congratulated my opponent and shook their hand(s). But as a competitor it seems foreign to me to smile and laugh immediately after a loss. I worked hard, I put in the time and I lost - what's to smile about? Again, I'm not angry with them but I don't get it. That being said I never saw Merriman or Spiller smile afterward because I turned that sh*t off after the PI call.
