  1. Play him long enough so when he leaves the game it's on a positive note. If that only takes a few series then that's enough. I don't want him to log significant time in either the 1st or 4th preseason games. The middle two games I'd like to see him play an entire half.
  2. He looks like he's auditioning for a remake of Flashdance.
  3. Much appreciated astro, I look forward to your reports. I imagine reports so comprehensive take lots of time to do. It shows. Thanks! A question: when you say "mis-catches" do you mean drops? I'm assuming so but just wanted to check.
  4. I'd agree with you if it weren't for all the hormones and pesticides farmers use these days anyway. Those things are far from healthy yet we consume these things in mass. It's all about the $$$ there too. Is this burger more of a health risk than those things?
  5. All this Tuel talk is ridiculous. Before the scrimmage there were posts speculating that he wouldn't even make the team because he looked pretty bad in practice. A few nice bombs and now people expect him to challenge for the 2nd and even 1st string jobs.
  6. We changed up how our keeper league works last year and now we get to keep the player 2 rounds higher than he was drafted the year before. I picked up Spiller in the 10th last year which means I get to keep him instead of making a pick in the 8th round this year. Next year I'll get to keep him for a 6th round pick, and so on, and so on. Hopefully he produced like everybody expects.
  7. Every year people create multiple threads to B word about sully in the pre-season and every year people create multiple threads mid-season that state, "I normally hate sully but today's article is dead on." In both threads the majority of responses agree with the OP. Odd.
  8. Fred Jackson leads the Bills in rushing. Gilmore makes the all-pro team. Dareus makes the pro bowl.
  9. I wonder, are all you people who say things like the above joking or do you seriously believe in "curses?"
  10. Best player on the team - Gilmore.
  11. It's amazing how effortless that practice ending bomb was for EJ. He barely had to put anything behind it to heave it 40 yards down field.
  12. What about turnovers? Is there a correlation to pressure or coverage and having more turnovers?
  13. What kind of bar serves someone 17 shots and 4 beers? Even in NYC they'd cut you off before that and odds are you're not driving. And yes.
  14. He thanks science for Viagra every day.
  15. According to the article he played 17% of his plays in the slot last year which I wouldn't classify as "a ton." Compare that to a guy like Wayne who played in the slot more than 50% of the time. Might be a good idea to read the articles you're posting about.
  16. I actually like this one. I wouldn't mind seeing it implemented during the regular season with the obvious exception of it should only be at the end of the 2nd and 4th quarters.
  17. The kid hasn't had to struggle for most of his life. He was the star player in high school and now college, he came from money and even today daddy buys him everything. Reading the article he drives a mercedes and gets flown all over the country to attend whatever event he wants to. When he does have to struggle a bit - like playing golf against his dad - he falls apart. He's falling apart in the public eye with every little thing he does wrong - then blames others. He doesn't know how to handle adversity other than to throw tantrums which leads me to believe he'll fail in the NFL. His physical gifts aren't such that he's going to come into the NFL and light it up immediately. He'll struggle. And with his personality make-up he'll fail because he doesn't know how to deal with it. I feel for the kid, being under the kind of scrutiny he's under has to be unbearably difficult. But at the same time this is the life he's chosen. He thinks getting out of college station (or the "fish bowl" as he puts it) will end this scrutiny? Welcome to the NFL kid, ask Tebow how leaving Florida took him out of the fish bowl.
  18. It might have to do with the 37 turnovers he's been responsible for in his first two seasons (in addition to his lack of leadership.) I look at the statistical seasons Wilson and Griffin had and don't think Newton's rookie season was anywhere near as good. Newton threw for a lot of yards...and that's about it. Talk about a bad D all you want a QB who turns the ball over that much is directly contributing to his team losing. I'd seriously argue with "the best two seasons for an NFL QB" statement.
  19. For all you guys who hate the local media because you believe all they do is stir the pot to create a stir...TA-DA!!! I guess this thread is mission accomplished for them. They're gotten people to talk about them.
  20. The chick weighs at least a deuce and you guys are talking about her tats as the reason for you no answers?
  21. Trying to figure out why Armstrong is a bigger Dbag? They both did pretty much the same thing - broke the rules to improve performance. How good they were or how long they went without getting caught doesn't really come into the Dbag conversation. Armstrong was more adamant/arrogant about his innocence so they does tilt the scales against him but then again Armstrong's charity did raise more than $500 million to help find a cure for cancer. Despite his arrogance and cheating his positives outweigh his negatives in terms of what he's contributed to society - at least to me. Cheating in some races and lying about it isn't really that high on my list of horrible things human beings can do to one another. On the other hand how many people on Earth can say they've done more to help mankind than starting an organization that raised $500 million to fight a disease that kills over 7 million people a year.
  22. How does trading him "lay the hammer down?" No team is going to trade for him without first signing him to a long term contract. Because of this Byrd and Parker can dictate where he wants to play. If Byrd doesn't want to play somewhere he simply won't negotiate a new contract with that team. So by trading him he gets a shiny new contract with a team he wants to play for. I don't see that as "laying the hammer down." It might be the smart play by the Bills to simply cleanse themselves of this situation and get something in return, but don't kid yourself in thinking they're somehow punishing Byrd in this scenario - it's exactly what he wants.
  23. At 59 and 62 years old, why do you have a roommate?
