  1. Yeah, this whole, “what does Joe B know?” line of defense is pretty thin. He’s not looking at stunting DL and trying to figure out the protection call and discover if the mistake was Ford’s. Hes watching a DE run right around a Ford and straight to the QB. Or bull rush Ford back into Allen’s lap. In the Athletic article they edited together like 8-10 plays to illustrate Ford’s struggles and all but one was legit. I do take issue with the 3rd down play in the end zone where Allen stepped forward to make that ridiculous throw to Beasley. On the play Ford pushed his guy wide and deep enough. Other than that every play shown was Ford getting dismantled.
  2. This is my line of thinking. One of the DEs (or both) should be tackling/hitting Lamar on every running play, even after he hands the ball off. It's totally legal to hit a QB if he's carrying out a play fake and you think he may still have the ball. Have them both take deeper angles back to Lamar on every play and hit him anytime he does a play fake. RBs have to take breathers from time to time from all the contact they take. Lamar doesn't have that option. Keep hitting him and wear him out. Behind that I'd like to see them maybe just play 1 CB and use a S in Wallace's place when the Ravens go 13 personnel. Maybe even do it if they go 12. Someone who can cover a TE and but be better vs. the run. Give the Ravens the deep outside parts of the field. If Lamar can hit those throws, so be it, but don't give him his bread and butter play fake, pull the LBs up and drop an easy completion over the LBs and in front of the safeties.
  3. Any consideration is directly related to Allen's steady improvement. Many thought Allen shouldn't even see the field for 2 years yet here he is being talked about as one of the young, up and coming QBs and is leading his team to the playoffs. That type of mentoring of a young, raw, QB will get team's attention. It doesn't mean he lands the job, but it will get him some interviews.
  4. If you click on the link in the post you quoted it is updated, but only to Nov 26th. Oliver is still 4th but with an 18% win rate.
  5. Yeah, I could see someone saying, "we don't know how good the Bills are yet" because of their schedule but saying they're "paper tigers" or a "fraud" is just wrong.
  6. How does Guice not win that? He did it against a LB as opposed to a QB. The only thing easier than plowing over a QB is if the K was out there trying to make a tackle.
  7. Yeah, I’ve always hated the QB passing TD stat being so heavily weighted in QB metrics. So the stat is telling me that if a team runs the ball into the end zone with a RB from the 5 then the QB isn’t as good as if he threw a 5 yard TD pass? The important thing is a QB who routinely moves the offense and scores points. Who scores them or how they score just isn’t that important.
  8. If the Bills find a way to beat the Ravens and the Pats lose to KC next week the final 3 weeks of the season would be f’n crazy.
  9. Yeah, you’re right, I forgot they released him.
  10. Yeah, this is the worst 10-1 team I’ve ever seen.
  11. I don’t want him getting injured. Hoyer could very easily come in and play better. It’s not that tall of an order.
  12. Watson might have the best deep ball in the leafue
  13. I don’t think that’s a TD but I hope they uphold it.
  14. The #3 tiebreaker for a division is best won/lost percentage in common games, not conference record. I haven’t done the math myself but every playoff calculator I’ve seen says we need to finish with a better record. Beat me to it
  15. Well, one does have to die before being sainted. All part of Saint Doug’s plan.
  16. They don’t. The Bills have to finish with a better record than the Pats. The Bills need the Oats to lose to KC next week too.
  17. If the Bills don’t win the division it’s best if the Pats get the 1 seed. After the Bills win their WC game they will likely play the 1 seed. I’d rather knock off the Pats in NE than travel to Baltimore.
  18. The more big games before the playoffs the better. Bills need to get used to playing good teams in high intensity, nationally televised games.
  19. I think they need to go big nickel with a S as the nickel back, not a CB. The Bills need as much speed on the field as possible while still being able to slow Ingram. The Niners did a very good job of slowing them in the 2nd half, I’ll be interested in what the tape shows they did. It appeared they were much more disciplined in their edge contain and stopped biting hard on every handoff/fake to Ingram.
  20. Steelers have a better D and it’s an away game. That’s a rough place to play. I like the Bills in that games but it won’t be a blowout.
  21. I wonder if we’ll be seeing “Pittsburgh finished it” t-shirts in Pittsburgh this week.
  22. Gashing them with the run all game and the go shotgun pass on 4th and 1.
  23. I don’t know how you stop their running game. It seems nearly impossible to be stout in the middle and on the outside all at the same time, every play.
