Before the season started I had a dream the Bills played the Chiefs in the playoffs. I mentioned it to my son over breakfast the next morning. He said he had a similar dream a few nights before that the Bills were playing in the AFC championship. We deduced that it must mean that the Bills would be playing the Chiefs in the championship game.

If the coaching staff thinks he’s more important than a WR5 who contributes nothing to ST I’ll trust that they know more than posters clamoring for their fan favorite to see the field. Personally, I don't think Duke playing has anything to do with Foster, Foster is going to be active because of his ST play. Duke being active will depend if the coaching staff beleives they can sit a player from another position group. Before Wallace’s injury I would have said that the Bills don't need to dress 4 safties every week and Coleman could be sat. But now that the secondary depth is being tested Im not so sure. Lee Smith is another one I could see being sat but they like him for grinding the clock and goalline. Fans are making too big of a deal about this. Duke wouldn't see more than a few targets anyway, I don't want him taking targets away from Brown or Beasley. I wouldnt mind seeing him active but it’s just not a big issue. -
Brady not thinking about possible final game with Pats
MDH replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why is it nonsense? He’s 42 and any year could be his last. Maybe its this year, maybe its not. We have no way of knowing until Brady lets us know. I’ll say this, Ive heard him interviewed several times this season and reporters have frequently given him a question asking him about his love of the game and his response never leaves me believing he enjoys playing anymore. -

Punts are only fair caught if the gunners get down field quickly and force them to be. Its not just about making tackles. Fans have never appreciated the importance of special teams, thankfully we have a coaching staff that does. -
White wasn't on Parker for every snap. I just watched every Parker catch in that game and it looks like you can tag 5 of those catches on White for around 70-80 yards. Parker had a big gain in that game when White wasn't anywhere near him. Granted, Parker also had a big game where White got caught peeking into the backfield and jumped a route and Parker got behind him.

What Are Your Post Season Expectations?
MDH replied to SinceThe70s's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had this thought the other day. If the Bills weren't going to win the Super Bowl, would I prefer a loss in the AFC championship game or the Super Bowl. I think I'd prefer a loss in the AFC title game, I couldn't stomach another SB loss. -
Who stole my gramma’s rug and made Hopkins a coat out of it?!?!

Nsekhe, Shaq and Roberts all Practicing today.

He also give up yards by not fielding some punts and letting them roll past him. He did it vs. the Jets at it cost them 12 yards. Those are twelve yards that don't show up on a stat sheet. If it doesn't show up in the stats I guess it’s not important. Roberts is vastly superior the McKenzie as a returner. Sloppy ST would kill a team who relies on defense to win. Not sure why many fans don't realize the importance of that phase of the game. -
I kinda agree with this. I really like that Daball runs a multiple scheme and wants to attack the opposing defenses weakness. I like this in a theoretical way though as I’m not sure we have the pieces to run it effectively. I think a few things hold the offense back from being as good as it could be. One, talent. They’re an average group of players on that side of the ball. Upgrades at WR, OL and RB are needed and more experience at QB. Two, execution. A QB who consistently makes good choices with the ball. It’s easy to blame Daboll but we see guys open andJosh either doesn’t come off his first read or just misses his wr. Drops come into play here too. Just too many overall. This is kinda a repeat of the talent point... Third, and this speaks to the point you were making, playcalling. The tricky thing here is it’s tough to know if this is all on Daboll. I get the feeling that having an very good/great D is holding the offense back because McD is preaching to just not make mistakes to lose the game. That leads to conservative game plans. To be fair, given the lack talent and lack of consistent QB play that may be the best way to go this season, it’s hard to know for sure. I do like the job Daboll has done with Allen. When he came out I had very little hope he’d ever develop I ot a franchise QB. He’s already better than I thought he’d be and hopefully he continues to grow. I give Daboll a lot of credit for that and I think the league, in general, does too.

Repeatedly breaking the rules laid out in the collective bargaining agreement wouldn’t have set well with old school players either. It was just hubris.

Fans take things for granted unless there’s a splash play that hurts the team. They also don’t tend think guys are contributing unless they do something special. Roberts has been very good all year despite not breaking a long TD return. -
Running half speed for the first 10 minutes of practice (the media portion) isn’t the same as running full speed and making cuts during a game. I’m not convinced he plays and if he does is able to be effective. We’ll see.

Brett Kollerman: Patroits Defense has been figured out
MDH replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You still have to execute. There were plays to be made, the players didn’t make them. -
Really depends if Fuller plays. Texan's offense is a different beast with him in the lineup. It's not too difficult taking Hopkins out of the game if Fuller isn't there to take the top off the D. If Fuller misses the game (or is really limited) I see the Bills winning, something like 24-17.

Sitting starters in the final game and watching the final regular season game wondering what the playoff schedule is for the Bills. I could get used to this. -

I don’t know, Bills played Jags in the Sunday 1pm slot two years ago. You don’t get a less attractive matchup than that game! Bigger games are usually the later games on Sat and Sun I think. -

Because I’m flying down Friday night and flying out Sunday. I’d like to pre-party on Friday, tailgate Saturday, celebrate the victory Saturday night and fly back early-ish Sunday! Sunday game means I get home late Sunday (maybe really late) which sucks. So yeah, purely selfish reasons.
